Chapter 1368 Changes (1)
Ghribba the Silver Queen pushed through the gaps between reality as she headed towards her domain. As an eighth-dimensional being, she could access this tunnel that bridged the divide between space and time. @@novelbin@@
With this tunnel it was possible to return to the past as long as you had the energy stores to accommodate such an expenditure, although you could only view the past, it was an extremely useful tool to be able to learn, it was one of the greatest reasons why eighth-dimensional entities were so powerful, they had all of time to learn from, and their powerful souls and consciousness were unmatched.
It was also possible to traverse through extreme stretches of space using this tunnel, making eighth-dimensional immortals become some of the only entities in existence that could reach across all of reality. Of course, there were supreme geniuses with Primordial Bloodlines that could access this tunnel at the seventh-dimensional level, Ghribba had learned not to measure those with Primordial Bloodlines with common sense.
This tunnel was broadly known as the Passage of Time, and to traverse it had its challenges, but with a firm grasp of Destiny as an eighth-dimensional immortal, Ghribba was mostly isolated from the dangers inherent in this tunnel, and she could ponder on other things as she streaked across space and time.
From the moment she sensed the beginning of the demise of her domain to its ending, barely a few seconds had passed and this gave her many clues as to what could have done such a thing, and at the same time also fewer clues, because the act of shattering an eighth-dimensional realm like hers would cost an extreme amount of energy and she saw no reason why any powerful immortal would choose to waste that energy on a relatively insignificant realm like Aerovah.
Aerovah was a commercial hub, and so its defenses, while not top-tier, were still standard enough that it would delay even an eighth-dimensional immortal for a few seconds. Ghribba would need at least nine seconds to tear through the dome of defense covering Aerovah before she could begin destroying the realm, yet she was sure that not even two seconds went by before her realm was destroyed.
In her head, she was already listing the sorts of immortals that she knew were capable of tearing the defenses of the realm in an instant, and every name she placed in that list made her countenance grimmer, and the only reason she was pressing on towards her destination was that she knew that the Celestials would be coming behind her, whatever had happened in Aerovah must be related to them, and they carried much bigger sticks than her.
It would take her a few minutes to reach her realm, and although she had misgivings about encountering the party responsible for destroying it, Ghribba's abilities were geared towards defense instead of offense, and she believed that she could hold up well enough until she received reinforcement.
As she grew closer to Aerovah, the subtle sense of disquietness that had been growing inside her mind made Ghribba look into herself to find the source of that apprehensiveness, and the answer that came to her was—Light or the lack thereof.
Traversing through the Passage of Time was difficult enough in normal circumstances, however, this passage was now dark, and this unnatural aura of this passage that was rumored to be the dead body of Primordial Time seemed to press into her consciousness with a vicious weight.
