Lin Yueqi didn’t think that Lu Ting and little bun still found her despite moving from A City to B City, even into this desolate and remote neighborhood.
They haven’t seen each other for two months. Lu Ting had dark circles under his eyes and his face had sunken a bit; he even got skinnier, dispirited. He looked devastated, probably the result of being both the mother and father for the past two months. He didn’t sleep that well.
Little bun hadn’t seen her mother for two months or so, so she was holding onto her clothes right now, refusing to let go. The little girl’s tears constantly flowed down her face, but she tightly pursed her lips and held in her cries. He lifted the back of her hand and constantly wiped the tears falling down her face.
Lin Yueqi felt horrible. She kneeled down and wiped the little bun’s tears. “Wah. Sister bun, don’t cry. Who said I don’t want you? Didn’t I say I’ll be back in at most a year?”
The little girl hugged her neck while she was at it and buried her face into Lin Yueqi’s armpit. With a sobbing tone, “Mommy, don’t think about escaping again.”
“I didn’t…”
The moment she finished her words, the tall man standing by the door looked down at her and said faintly, “In the two months that you were gone, I invited Aunt Li to A City. If it weren’t for her, I probably wouldn’t be able to handle this little thing. After you left, she refused to let anyone sleep with her. Sometimes, she covered her head with the blankets in the middle of the night and cried softly. In the morning when she woke up, she would always ask when her mommy would come back.”
Lin Yueqi didn’t think that her note would hurt little bun that much. She really underestimated her feelings for her.
She didn’t know a lot of things actually.
Ever since little bun could remember things, Lin Yueqi had been working hard in the entertainment circle. She rarely came home even on holidays.
