"We are completely destroyed?"

"What are they doing?"

"And they're even questioning us?"

The people were in utter shock after getting the report from the nobles that they sent to the Ardagan family.

Duke Raymond clenched his fists. After getting humiliated by the father and son, he didn't expect that he would experience the same thing by that son's disciple.

No one would have thought that Tristan was able to hold out.

"This is not good. Those people are useless. The Supreme Devil Organization can't even do anything. We have managed to push back the Magic Lord, but not a single thing has gone right after that. I know I shouldn't trust merchants. They're useless." A noble slammed the table, showing his frustration. He covered his face with both hands, wondering if there was something else they could have done.

"We need to hurriedly send another one. We have to salvage the situation."

"If we don't do this, the Tower Association will be weakened severely."

"That's right. The merchants are already useless, so we can only use political power."

"We should just consider them raising a rebellion."

Duke Raymond crossed his arms. These people wanted to hit the Ardagan family again. Of course, he knew this was the right thing to do, considering this was the best time to attack.

However, doing so in their current condition would be extremely hard.

To his surprise, there were two nobles that raised an objection.

Duke Raymond's expression darkened. There might really be no other choice but to stay silent and cut their losses. It was even more annoying because the Ardagan family had a noble and two elders from the Tower Association.

If they wanted to do anything in the future, cooperation with the Tower Association was necessary. So they had to save those two elders.

Unbeknownst to them, these two nobles that had a different opinion had actually switched sides.

They suggested they were careful so that they could listen to their plan to inform their true leader.

That very leader was also busy doing something else.

In the middle of a mountain road, there was a carriage falling off the cliff with numerous corpses around it.

A person emerged from the carriage and gritted his teeth.

The one standing on top of the cliff was none other than the third princess of the country, Eleanor.

Eleanor looked down at him before saying, "This is the end. You are the fourth prince. Your influence is quite huge. In fact, you are one of the princes that has the right, power, and influence to fight for the throne.

"However, even if I try to stop you, you won't stop fighting for the throne. For the sake of the Muivell Kingdom, please die."

"You slut. I shouldn't have spared you back then."

"Sparing me? No. You are just thinking that I'm good enough for you to use." Eleanor chuckled. "This is the end."

Next to her was an old man holding a big cane.

"Please, Lightning Arbiter."

The old man nodded and raised his cane.

"Lightning Arbiter. You are an arbiter. You have overstepped your bounds."

"I'm sorry, Your Highness. This is for the sake of the kingdom. To sustain the kingdom for hundreds or thousands of years, unfortunately… you have to be sacrificed today. This sin, I'll pay for it once I go to the other side. Farewell, Your Highness." The old man waved his hand.

"You bastard!"

A lightning bolt fell from the sky and struck the prince, killing him instantly.

"I see."
