Character Data
Shining Saber
Former sub-leader of the Silver Moon Horsemen Guild. A level 472 silver dragoid.
Used to mainly swing his sword on the front lines, but now that he’s a knight captain, he’s saddled with a tedious amount of paperwork. Things were rough starting out: He first appeared in this world in the middle of a knights’ training ground and was arrested on sight. After landing some support, he rose from soldier to knight and then finally to knight captain (his level improved as well). Feels indebted to Arbiter, a former knight captain, as well as to his own subordinates. The knights firmly believe Cayna is his fiancée, and Shining Saber has failed to dispel the rumors to this day.
Cohral
Former member of the Silver Moon Horsemen Guild. A level 392 human.
Became an adventurer alongside the youths of the village that took him in, then joined a party called the Armor of Victory. Because of his high level, Cohral decided to become the party’s defensive tank. The Armor of Victory helped him realize how suffocating his old life had been. He’s aged a bit after ten years in this new world and is consequently more mentally mature than Shining Saber. Wants to get rid of his new title, Supreme Swordsman, as soon as possible.
Afterword
Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening. I’m the author, Ceez. It looks like we’ve reached the tumultuous eighth volume. We’ve covered the first half of the event here, but I’m pretty sure it will conclude in the next volume. That’s the plan.
Several episodes of the anime will already be out by the time this volume is released. I’m really nervous about everyone’s impression! Ever since I began the series, I’ve always alternated between joy and fear over your opinions. I hope you’ll find the anime uniquely charming.
I’d also like to take this opportunity express my deepest thanks to the director and all the staff involved. Looking back now, my editor first said the series would become an anime when the second volume just came out… I couldn’t believe they contacted me.
Maho Films has a big mecha from a certain robot anime in their entrance, and I still think about it. Thank you so much to the fantastic voice actors who breathed life into these characters. We’re still in difficult times, so I appreciate your willingness to record. I couldn’t stop crying when I watched the final product before the official broadcast. I never would have dreamed this would happen to me when I first started the series ten years ago.
Furthermore, I caused so much trouble for everyone while writing this volume that it entirely negated my promise to do better in the last one. I’m soooo sorry! If it wasn’t for the state of the world right now, I’d go on a pilgrimage of atonement.
My most heartfelt apologies to both my ever-patient editor and to the very busy illustrator Tenmaso for the long wait. I’m sorry for troubling the proofreader and book designer again as well. I’ll do my best to stick to the next deadline…
Our unpredictable situation continues, but I hope everyone will continue to stick with me. I’m deeply grateful to all my readers!
Ceez
