Afterword

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening. I’m the author, Ceez.

Thank you very much for reading the fourth volume of In the Land of Leadale. This book covers chapter 35 to chapter 38 of the original Web version. However, I realized the Guardian Tower that appears on the cover doesn’t show up for a while after this part of the story. To fix this issue, I added a few new scenes with the tower, which is why Web readers may find the cover odd.

Once again, my poor time-management skills reared their ugly head, and I ended up working over Christmas and New Year’s. I came up with a number of good ideas, so I’d be thrilled if you took notice of them.

In the Web version, Roxilius goes on the trip to Felskeilo, but I switched him with Roxine for the published book. I had a lot of fun writing their curt exchanges that always end in fights.

Shining Saber and Princess Myleene have also been very busy: Mye managed to solidify her right to the throne, and Shining Saber still hasn’t been able to clear up the mistaken rumors that he has a fiancée.

Then who should finally show up but that one person… This volume is certainly jam-packed with action.

Next up, we’ve got some craziness with a turtle. This is the turning point of the story in the Web novel, but there will most likely be some differences in the print version.

Tenmaso, thank you as always for the wonderful illustrations. I never expected the cover to be sepia!

I’d also like to apologize to my editor yet again for all the trouble I’ve caused, and express my gratitude to all those involved with publishing this volume.

And congratulations to the artist Tsukimi Dashio on the release of the Leadale manga.

Lastly, an enormous thank-you to everyone who made this book possible. I truly appreciate it.

Ceez
