From birth to becoming an apex emperor, his life was nothing short of perfect. Success came to him naturally even without the protection of his parents. An innate nobility fully manifested within him.
He went on to join Imperial League and started a powerful sect. Moreover, he had more than ten generations of descendants. In a sense, this was another branch of Immortal Bronze Palace.
This added another stroke to the perfect story of Fairy Companions. They were mighty and had an amazing son as well.
He stared at the duo and felt a bit perplexed. Given his background, he knew more than his peers.
Thus, he felt that this ordinary youth must be someone special.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were from Desolate Frontier?” Horned Ant’s anger subsided since Imperial League always had a good relationship with Desolate Frontier.
“You didn’t give me a chance.” Alch-deer said.
“Where did the primal ancestor go?” Horned Ant glanced at the crater.
“He’s fine, he’s just down there.” Alch-deer said.
Horned Ant heaved a sigh of relief. After all, this wasn’t an easy time for their league.
“May I ask who you are, Sir? My memory fails me.” Virtuoso cupped his fist toward Li Qiye.
He thought about numerous mighty characters but none matched with Li Qiye. When he was young, he had met all the ancient ancestors in Desolate Frontier, even supreme overlords from Heaven World.
“Yes, who are you, Sir?” Horned Ant asked. He preferred to use his true form instead of a humanoid form. He was quick to anger but also quick to calm down due to his straightforward personality.
“Our Desolate Frontier’s ancestor.” Alch-deer said.
The two were shaken to hear this since only a few were official ancestors of Desolate Frontier.
Virtuoso had met Everlasting Jiang, North Kun God, Tenth-gen Chen, Whale Ancestor, and the others. This man was not one of them.
“Buzz.” A woman appeared in the sky. She had three eyes and the third one suddenly opened. A thousand eyes emerged, focusing on Li Qiye.
“Thousand-eyed, over here.” Horned Ant waved at her.
She came from the three-eyed race, utilizing her third eye as a grand dao to summon more. The special eyes could summon dao and laws. She had studied at Orchid Academy and accepted Virtuoso’s invitation. She ranked second among the six.
“Boom!” A dragon made of waves rushed out of the sea.
“River Emperor.” Alch-deer recognized him - last place of the six.
Another woman arrived with remnant images behind her. They formed a domain with a pressure sealing the area.
“Shadow Emperor.” Alch-deer recognized her as well - the fifth-ranked member with ten dao fruits.
“What happened to the primal ancestor?” A crystal tower with a holy light appeared, enough to purify all impurities.
It was held by an old man - the sole desolate god in Imperial League but was counted among the six. He had twelve sacred fruits.
They rushed here because the slab pierced through the barrier.
“Everyone, it’s a misunderstanding. They’re from Desolate Frontier so please go back, the primal ancestor is fine.” Virtuoso said.
They acknowledged him and left, returning to their posts.
“I’m leaving too.” Horned Ant shouted and left as well.
“You’re Orchid Sage’s disciple?” Li Qiye asked Virtuoso.
“You know my teacher, Sir?” Virtuoso replied.
Orchid Sage always shared his knowledge and taught many cultivators including a supreme overlord such as Staff Ancestor.
“Few can master the zither dao to this level.” Li Qiye said.
“I am ashamed to admit how little I’ve learned from the teacher. In fact, calling him ‘teacher’ is just self-flattery. His talents are boundless while my aptitude is shallow. The zither dao is the only thing I caught on.” He bowed and said.
