ATTACK AND DEFENSE ON THE EVE OF WAR
“M-Ms. Tione, are you sure about this?”
“We won’t be long! I just want to see his sleeping face, and then we’ll be gone!”
You’re definitely planning to get in bed with him!
On the Dungeon’s fiftieth floor, Tione made her way through the Loki Familia camp, stealthily avoiding the watchful eyes of the lookouts, with Lefiya reluctantly in tow. Tione’s destination: the large tent where her prum captain was sleeping.
The following morning, Loki Familia would commence their expedition into uncharted territory, and Tione was so excited she couldn’t sleep. To subdue her primal instincts, she wanted to spend the night with her beloved captain, and Lefiya, who had been sleeping in the same tent as her, had been dragged along for the ride.
And so, giggling maniacally at the thought of using her bantam leader as a body pillow, Tione carefully made her way to the captain’s tent.
“I-I really don’t think we should do this!” Lefiya said. “Let’s go back!” But her warnings went unheeded as Tione marched through the front flap.
“And what might you be here for?”
“R-Riveria?!”
“Lady Riveria!”
Inside the tent, Tione found not the sleeping face of her beloved captain but instead the ice-cold glare of his high-elf aide.
“Wh-what’s going on? Where’s the captain?!”
“Finn said his thumb was aching, so he went to sleep in a different tent. I never imagined you two would be the cause. We have an important job on the morrow, you know!”
“Wahh! I wasn’t going to do anything—I swear!” wept Lefiya, but before she could get another word out, Riveria dropped the hammer. A cry of “Captaaaaaain!!” echoed across the camp, and the two little intruders fled back to their tent, where they went straight to sleep without another peep.
“Are you really going to sleep in our tent, Finn?”
“I’m afraid so. Sorry to be a bother.”
At the other end of the camp, Finn was sharing his lodgings with the blacksmiths of Hephaistos Familia. There was an indescribable look in his eye as he made his apologies to Tsubaki.
“Heh-heh-heh. In that case,” Tsubaki replied, “you’ll have to be my body pillow for the night.”
“Oh, bugger.”
Braver had just made the greatest mistake of his life.
