AMAZON-STYLE ARGUING TECHNIQUES
Lefiya was the first to notice.
““Rgh!!””
The Amazonian twins, the Hyrute sisters, were brawling in the middle of the courtyard, both covered in blood.
“M-Ms. Tiona! Ms. Tione!” she cried, running over and putting herself between them. “Please stop before you both get hurt!!”
Beaten and bloody, the two Amazonian sisters paused and turned to her with a blank stare.
“Huh? No, no, Lefiya, you’ve got it all wrong.”
“We’re sparring. We used to do it all the time back in the day.”
“…What?”
Tione spat blood onto the ground as she explained.
“It’s all because Aiz overtook us, you see? We’re a bit frustrated right now.”
“Yeah! We just wanna blow off some steam, so we thought we’d have a good, old-fashioned brawl!”
“I-I see,” Lefiya replied awkwardly. “I guess I was mistaken.”
They hadn’t been arguing at all. The sisters, alike in more than just their looks, made perfect training partners for each other. They had been brawling since they were young—not always in good fun—and in a way, fighting their other half was like fighting themselves, constantly pushing each other to be better.
“We’re the same level, and it’s a much better way to gain excelia than farming monsters all the way down in the deep levels,” Tiona said with a laugh. “Neither of us holds back.”
Tione, who was just as battered as Tiona, added, “Besides, we go down there so often that there’s nothing new about it. We have to shake things up a little, right?”
Lefiya broke into a nervous sweat at this terrifying glimpse into Amazonian culture.
“Plus,” Tione continued, “everyone knows I’d win in a real fight. That’s just common sense.”
“What are you talking about, Sis? I’d win, obviously.”
“…What?” growled Tione, narrowing her eyes while Tiona went on in a carefree tone.
“I mean, out of 999 bouts, I’ve won 400, and 200 have been draws.”
“Did I knock something loose? There’s only been 198 draws. I have more wins than you.”
Tension mounted as the Amazonian sisters glared at each other. After a staredown, each raised a fist and struck the other’s cheek.
““Let’s settle this, right here and now!!””
“W-wait, you two!!”
The fierce fight raged on until Aiz and the others intervened.
