In the broken Great Violent Wildlands, Davis remained here as he sat on a new chair and had his legs on a new table since the old ones were destroyed from the battle with the Venerable Knights. He pretty much closed his eyes and chilled for the time being, waiting for new threats to appear.
For one, he needed to keep the eyes of the world on him so that Lereza’s group and the other’s group could be successful in their respective endeavors. The second reason was that he could still accept challenges from Heaven’s Warriors who were still unconvinced or retarded and put them in their place which was the coffin.
The third reason was that he left a mess here. Calamities were bound to appear in the form of spacequakes or other natural disasters. Even a portal to the Primeval Universe Ruins that unleashes Vacuous Beasts was highly possible.
He was thinking of securing a way somehow, but then again, that would result in a tidal wave of Vacuous Beasts which would overwhelm the realm, so he only intended to deal with the Vacuous Beasts and somehow place some kind of marker in the Primeval Universe Ruins that could help him detect it in the future.
Naturally, he couldn’t enter it, or he would break the Covenant. It was not that he was afraid of it, but it was better to let it stay and fool the Celestial Transcendent into thinking he was still in his grasp.
"Reporting to Fifth Dark Apostle, Fairy Zestria successfully bound the Realm Core three hours ago. However, the Heaven’s Warriors had them surrounded but had not made any moves to attack for over an hour. It is possible that they decided to keep the forces contained within that zone so the people living there could be assured that the realm isn’t going to be destroyed."
Davis lifted up an object in his hand and heard Dark Archbishop Cyprusio talking through it.
He considered the report for a moment before replying.
"Relay again to stay their ground and not attack unless attacked. Continue to monitor the situation."
"Yes!" Dark Archbishop Cyprusio’s voice was full of respect, vastly different from the polite yet still important attitude that he maintained once.
Davis didn’t care about that. He wondered if Zestria and the others could hold out against these Heaven’s Warriors, who suddenly looked like they wanted to play the long game.
The time taken for news to travel from the Verdant Vale Lower Realm to here could be over fifteen to thirty minutes. After all, there was a vast array of messaging talismans that interconnected all the way to Cyprusio. He had previously received reports that the Realm Core was bound, but they didn’t know who it was. Davis knew it was Zestria, so he didn’t bother. Now, they reported it was Zestria.
Just like that- there could be delays in news, so he was worried that if something happened, he would be too late to react.
However, his forces stationed there were powerful. There were nearly three existences at the layer limit: Zestria, Calypsea, and the Ant Overlord. Vereina was almost near that level, along with Illumina and Lereza. They were also capable of using Realm Core’s abilities with Calypsea there, so from one perspective, they could survive better than him.
Knowing that, he was relaxed.
He also got news from the Whispering Wildlands Peninsula’s intelligence network, so there was that to rely on. However, it wasn’t as fast as the Heavenly Blight Hall’s intelligence network.
Nonetheless, he waited while thinking about many things and counting the value he obtained from looting the rings.
Finally, there was a change to the scenery.
"Who are you?"
Davis blinked as he looked at a silhouette in the distance.
It was a black-robed man with purple hair. His robes appeared luxurious, and his hair flowed freely when brushed against the wind. His expression was calm despite approaching him and perhaps even non-hostile.
He came forward, nearing three hundred meters, before he stopped and cupped his hands.
"In front of you, I dare not call myself a supreme genius. I am Bolt Atlas, hailing from Void Autarch Upper Realm’s Atlas Family. I wish to exchange fists and learn insights from your grand stature."
Davis raised his brows.
He recalled Pence Atlas, who was a supreme genius who led the expedition of his Atlas Family in the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm. He couldn’t tell if the other party was a Kingly Monarch or an Empyreal Monarch since the other party never went over the edge.
Regardless, he nodded while still being seated and unimpressed.
"So you’re a supreme genius. About time one of you finally appeared. I hope that you brought me some gifts."
"Naturally. On the occasion that you no longer want to exchange fists with me, this will belong to you."
Bolt Atlas waved his hands, and three jade containers aligned in front of him.
"One is a healing pill. One is a blood-attribute pill. The last one is a space-attribute pill. All three of them are at High-Level Autarch- I mean High-Level Empyrean Grade Pills, made by the finest of our Atlas Family’s Alchemists."
Davis’s soul sense went over the jade containers. He couldn’t find any traps at the surface level, so he nodded.
"The gifts are fine, but are you worthy enough to exchange fists with me?"
Bolt Atlas took a deep breath and got into his battle pose. He took a step back and pushed his arm forward, a standard martial pose. However, dark purple energy swirled around him, its destructive force extremely high as it twisted the space around him.
"Oh?" Davis stood up, finally looking interested.
This energy reminded him of the spatial destruction energy that Nyx Godwin used. It was wild and unrefined, but this one in front of him was much more refined. He could tell since he also comprehended Destruction Laws, but unlike his own, it swelled with the insight of Space Laws.
"Good!"
Davis flicked his sleeves and flew into the skies. He was well aware that he needed to learn more about Destruction Laws, so he welcomed this battle. He wouldn’t have even required ’gifts’ even if he knew about this first.
Bolt Atlas smiled as though he knew the Divine Emperor of Death would take him on when he revealed his powers. His calm expression grew wild.
"Please go easy on me. I don’t want to die like the Venerable Knights."
With a shout, he rushed towards Davis.
