A pure white hand shot out of the egg. My eyes widened like lanterns at the sight.
“…A hand?”
It was a hand.
A real hand.
Not the hand of a monster or some demonic beast, but a human hand. And not just any hand—one so pale it looked almost translucent, thin to the point of fragility.
No, not just thin—withered. A dried-up hand, so slender it looked like skin stretched over bones, trembling in weakness.
