"Hello."
The voice that brushed against my ear resonated deep within my bones—softly, and yet with a chill that lingered long after the sound had faded.
I could no longer remember when I had last heard that voice. It must have slipped past me, somewhere amidst the constant stream of moments, yet despite that, not once had I ever truly forgotten it.
I had missed it.
I missed her because I could not see her anymore. That absence had settled into me quietly, leaving behind a subtle ache I had tried to ignore.
Only now did I realize how thoroughly I had buried those feelings—so carelessly, so unconsciously—that I had failed to recognize what had been missing all along.
I missed you.
