Aside from the underground lake fish, there were small bat-like creatures peacefully hanging from the ceiling, as big as cats, they didn’t seem to mind our presences, minding their own business instead. they groomed each other’s hair and seemed to occasionally come down, barely passing through us and catching fish, which they ate upside down while hanging from the ceiling.
"Wow! Did you see that big sis?! It’s a bat!" Gabriel said.
"Yeah! Well, not completely a bat..." I said. "Wait, I do have something for it, this!"
I took out my phone and took a photo of them, finding out what these Spirit Beasts were.

Classification: Spirit Beast, Chimera Beast, Magical Beast.
Danger Level: D
Information: Small chimeric beasts that resemble a combination of wild cats and bats, they possess their agility combined and are equally playful and social. These small and endearingly adorable Spirit Beasts have been known to have many colors and species and are usually tamed by Beast Masters looking for a loyal and yet snarky little friend. They are usually inoffensive and as long as you don’t attack them, they won’t do anything to you. They tend to be weak on their own, but they know that there’s strength in numbers and will not hesitate to swarm at someone that has attacked or killed one of their own, using their sharp claws and fangs to deal sharp wounds on unprotected foes.
It is well known that there are bigger and more fierce species, such as the Giant Tiger Bat or the Colossal Leopard Bat, which can be several times bigger than their smaller cousins, and even more dangerous, but are lonely hunters that prefer to be alone, usually hiding inside of caves and hunting at night by descending from the mountains they inhabit.

Well this is really interesting, I guess they are indeed inoffensive as long as we don’t mess with them, though they do look quite playful, and glance at us with curiosity with their big, cute eyes. I would love to adopt or tame one of these, honestly... it’s like a little flying blackie!
...but wouldn’t Blackie think I’m replacing him? Ah yeah, he’s quite a jealous cat, better not do that then.
"They’re really adorable, those bats..." Rita said. "Maybe I could try taming one?"
"I don’t know if you should try, Rita, they’re peaceful but might swarm you if you try to harm one," I said. "Maybe if we offer one of them enough food and then do a sneaky contract with them?"
"I don’t know if it’s worth the hassle," Mark said. "They’re cute but not that strong either way."
"They’re surely stronger than my Whitey, he’s still a tiny little rat," Rita said, as Whitey was in the palm of her hand, looking a bit sat his master called him little and weak.
"Chuuu..." Whitey sighed, looking down.
"Wait, Elayne can’t you do the same you did with Falco and Blackie and tame Whitey so he can evolve into a Divine Beast?" Mark asked.
"Oh right, I think we forgot about Rita’s pet because she wasn’t around back then..." I nodded. "Rita, what do you think? Maybe Whitey can become big if that happens."
"Aaah, sounds great actually! He might be more useful if he gets bigger and fiercer, we’re fighting giant moles right? So they’re like his cousins, I bet he wants to show off right?" Rita talked nonsense, and Whitey was confused as usual.
"Alright, let me touch the baby first," I said, tapping Whitey’s little head. Now that I think about it, it’s better to evolve him into a Divine Beast because mice and rats don’t live that long.
And then, a little light emerged from the cute little mouse that Rita had casually bought from a pet store back then when I told my friends to get a magic pet to assist them.

A bright white light emerged, as Whitey’s entire body was encompassed by it, dropping into the floor and letting out a small shriek.
"Chuuuuu!"
As it did that, light emerged from his little body, as he began growing larger and larger, until he reached the size of a horse!
"Oh wow..."
Rita was shocked, as the little Whitey was no more, he had become a giant rat beast. He absorbed the light, as his new form appeared, still looking cute as ever, but bigger and chunkier, with white hair embedded with golden paintings of stars and eyes, and a unicorn horn over his forehead, made of gold.
"It’s done!"
