Chapter 2893: Limitless Void SlashThe old man had checked through the various scripts and seals in the Demon Realm, leaving Alex with a simple promise. He would do what he had asked.

It would take a lot of time, so Alex did not have to expect to have it be made anytime in the near future.

Alex was busy with his own tasks, so he was more than willing to wait for it to be made far in the future. His current focus was entirely on the time aura.

He trained on the two artifacts of his for quite some time before he had to accept that there wasn’t much he could gain from them. Either they were too weak, or he had learned all he could from them.

If he were in a world with a working Heaven, he would’ve likely learned Dao by now. Since he was not, he could only ever wonder if he had truly learned it all.

Bladedance came to take him to the desert some time later, where Alex learned about the Void half the time, and about the sword the other half.

Alex was confident now that he had learned as much as he possibly could regarding the Dao of Temporal Awareness.

The flow of time wasn’t smooth, and definitely not immovable. One could slow it down or speed it up. In worlds with larger mass, time moved slower than anywhere else. So, the passage of time in two different realms usually was different as well, albeit by no more than a couple of hours to a few days every year.

What was known as the true Time existed outside of those worlds, mostly through the Void. The understanding of the passage of the true Time was the Dao of Temporal Awareness.

No matter where Alex was, no matter how influenced time was, he would always be capable now of telling exactly how much time had passed.

This was one of the most important Dao required in order to move through the Void.

After learning some more, Alex also understood the Dao of Temporal Stagnation and Temporal Swiftness—the slowing and speeding of time. Being capable of telling them apart was necessary to travel through the Void.

The Dao of Time itself was something Alex got close to as well, but he couldn’t ever tell how close he was, so he kept on learning.

As years passed, Alex got better and better. At the same time, he learned more and more about the other Daos, understanding that while he didn’t learn them, he needed to be aware of their existence in order to avoid them or use them if possible.

Dao of Spatial Distortion was one of them, which was the Dao that kept the sky fractured above Hell. The Dao itself was a combination of various spatial Daos, letting one understand the order behind the chaos of the distortions.

He needed to learn it soon.

After many years of learning and training, Bladedance finally taught Alex her Sword Technique to cut space itself.

Alex took her technique and improved it in no time, adding it to his own technique.

Similar to how he added True Fire Dao to the Endless Severing Strike to create the True Immolation Strike, Alex added Bladedance’s teaching with his understanding of Space and Time to add it all into the Endless Severing Strike.

And he created a new technique, capable of cutting through Space and Time itself.

He called it… the Limitless Void Slash.

Alex used the Limitless Void Slash, creating a split in the space that tore open to reveal the Void beyond.

Bladedance stood to the side, quite stunned. The technique was most certainly not what she had taught him. In a way, it was better. It was far stronger even, considering Alex’s current weaker cultivation base.

The best part about the slash was that the Void opened on its own and remained open for a few seconds, whereas any normal attack would’ve closed it immediately.

“You did it,” Bladedance said after a few seconds. “You don’t need me to continue teaching you anymore.”

Alex smiled. “This is all thanks to you, Master,” he said.

Bladedance shook her head. “I did nothing. It is all you.”

Alex smiled, staring back at the Void.

“Go ahead. Start learning,” Bladedance said.

Alex nodded for a moment before shaking his head. “Master, don’t you think it is necessary that we practice navigating the Void before we actually start traveling through it?” he asked.

Bladedance thought for a bit. “We should,” she said. “But how should we do it? What if the opening were to close?”

“You will have to stay outside and keep it open,” Alex explained. “I will go in and roam around a little before I come back out.”

“What if you get lost? What if you can’t come back out?” Bladedance asked. It was clear she worried about being accidentally left behind.

Alex frowned. “Then what should we do?” he asked.

“We do it directly on the day we leave,” she said. “We have no other choice but to trust that you will learn all you will need by then. A single mistake can ruin everything, so if you are going to make a mistake, it better be when we are all together.”

Alex thought for a long moment and could only nod.

It was so easy to get lost inside the Void that a mere mistake from him could separate him from Bladedance in a matter of seconds, never allowing him to return to her.

Alex could only accept her words in the end. “Then my first practice will be on the day we leave,” he said.

Alex continued his training once again, focusing even more on the Void. He skipped out on training with Bladedance, so she returned to the sect, having nothing else to do.

What Alex couldn’t get from the Void, he got from the shimmering sky above.

Before he knew it, a lot more years had passed once again, as he got closer and closer to learning the full truth of Time, Space, and Void.
