Alex placed all 8 of the Immortal beasts’ cores inside the formation, letting it absorb life aura for as much as it could.
In the meanwhile, he spent his time cultivating and preparing. The Immortal beast cores would take a long time to absorb the life aura.
Alex let them be for months, focusing on another thing he needed to fix before he could use them.
The technique to form the Blood Beast was somewhat flawed, which he had noticed from the start but could not have done anything to change at the time.
Now that he had the time, he had focused on it.
The Blood aura assaulted the beast core, making it submit to its power before letting it feed on it to form the Beast core. However, after noticing how Sunhearts did it, letting the beast openly accept it all, he had decided to use that approach.
That needed him to strip away part of the technique where he combated the spirit inside the beast core, letting it remain submerged in the blood for quite some time so that it learned to accept on its own.
To Alex’s surprise, while it took a few too many days, the beast core did eventually start absorbing the blood aura, at which point Alex could resume the technique and force as much energy as it could take in.
This way, even a normal beast core could easily reach the Immortal realm in terms of strength without being infected with a Sunheart.
Alex was excited to use this approach with the Infected beast cores too, when he noticed a massive issue with the approach.
Because the Infected beast cores were mere hours to a single day away from forming Sun Wraiths, Alex could not let it absorb the energy on its own in time.
Even when he tried to use it the moment it started devouring the outside energy, it only became slightly better than the regular blood beasts. At that point, if Alex also tried to add the beast core, it only ended up destroying the whole thing.
So, he had to start searching for a solution to the issue where the infected beast core could be made to start absorbing the blood on its own immediately.
Alex attempted to force-feed it the blood aura, but that didn’t work. He tried to slow or speed up time for the beast core and blood aura, but that had no effect since the slowdown or speed-up affected the time remaining for it to form a Sun Wraith too.
He even tried to use direct Intent to start the beast core to feed on the blood aura, and while it worked, it seemed to hurt the beast in the end. The blood beast that came as a result of that approach was barely in the Immortal Spirit realm.
Something about it had been ruined because of that.
Alex made some other minor attempts at fixing the issue, but nothing worked. What worked in the end was a fixing of the technique itself.
Instead of trying to get the beast core to absorb more aura, Alex made it so that the blood aura itself appeared attractive to the beast core. So long as he could make the beast core consume the blood aura on its own, it would work.
