Pearl’s bond to Alex let him know that Alex had opened the Soul Space again, but he couldn’t figure out what he was doing. He waited for him to come talk, but Alex seemed to take his time.
Then, he saw a young cub come jumping down through the air, seemingly glowing with a golden light. He was immediately confused.
Was this what they called a Sun Wraith? But then, Sun Wraiths were supposed to be much larger than this, weren’t they? His senses didn’t tell him much about the cub at all.
He prepared for battle, just in case, but then Alex’s voice came down to him.
"Stand down, Pearl!" Alex said. "The senior here is a friend."
With Alex’s words in his mind, Pearl stopped. ’Senior?’ he asked, the question flowing back to Alex through their bonds. He could not see why Alex would call something so young a senior.
"Don’t do anything to offend him," Alex told Pearl. "He is a Primordial known as the Guardian Tiger. The same one the White Tigers descended from."
The moment Alex finished explaining as much, the cub suddenly changed its size, growing larger until it was twice the size of Pearl, looking down on him.
This was a proper Guardian Tiger now.
Pearl took a step back out of instinct but held himself and looked at the Primordial.
"Senior," he said with a small bow.
Alex looked around where Pearl was, at the base of the 3rd mountain, where the cultivation chambers were. If he wasn’t mistaken, the other Alex and Emily were in the chambers, currently cultivating to improve their cultivation, and more so to absorb all the Elixir.
Given how slow their cultivation progress was, they had to use those chambers if they wanted to absorb all the Elixirs as soon as they could.
This was also the location where all the Sunhearts were buried, keeping the heat and yang from the Nine Yang Divine tree tamed so that all other residents could survive.
Alex returned his attention to the Guardian Tiger, who was still quite focused on Pearl.
"Are you really a young White Tiger?" the tiger asked. "Are you sure you haven’t lived for a long time now?"
"I am young, senior," Pearl quickly said. "I’m yet to reach 400 years old."
"Then why is your bloodline so potent?" the Tiger asked. "Your bloodline is as potent as the day when the first White Tiger was born. Why is that?"
Pearl’s chest puffed up upon hearing that. "I received my bloodline from my mother, who received hers from someone out of this world. Someone known as the Godkiller."
"Godkiller?" the Tiger asked with a confused look.
Alex intervened. "Long ago, an individual came to our world from an outside world. He was a young man who stayed here for some time, spreading miracles all around before he left."
"From outside of this world?" the Tiger asked in surprise. "Does such a thing exist?"
"It does," Alex said. His homeland in this Central Continent of the 3rd Major Spirit realm was proof that it did.
"Interesting," the tiger said. "Someone who performs miracles, huh?"
Those words scratched at a memory the Guardian Tiger had, but it simply couldn’t figure out what he was trying to remember. It vaguely remembered something about a young man in Hell from a long time ago.
The tree would remember more.
