Alex waited for Whisker to return before he attacked the seal. Just in case he failed and ended up injuring himself somehow, he would need Whisker to take care of him.
Whisker also needed to return in order to enter his Soul Space if he did succeed and handle the things inside. Without Whisker, things would be a little harder to take care of inside.
Whisker returned two weeks later, during which period Alex prepared as much as he possibly could.
When he told Whisker that he was ready, Whisker was more than happy to hear that.
"Really, brother? Can you break the seal?" Whisker asked.
"I hope so," Alex said. "I have trained without a single break for the past 3 years. At the very least, I should be able to make a big impact on the seal."
Whisker nodded. "What should I do?" he asked.
"Nothing. Just sit around and wait. If everything goes well, I'll be able to send you back to my Soul Space. If not, I will have passed out, in which case you will still be needed."
"Understood," Whisker said and went to the side where he sat down.
Alex sat at his own place, finally ready.
He took a deep breath, honing his focus on the task at hand. Slowly, he let the Origins in his mind snap back into one.
As the eight Origins turned to four, the four turned to two, and the two turned to a single Origin, all of the mental strain he had in his mind was completely gone.
Alex felt more alive than ever in that moment, feeling as if he could lift a mountain with his mind. He channeled this new feeling of freedom and relief and poured it all into his attack against the seal.
Alex's attack landed on the Storm God's seal like a lightning bolt. It appeared out of nowhere and crashed onto it, sending a resounding boom throughout his entire body.
His consciousness itself rippled upon attacking the seal. Pain flared almost immediately, weak at first but slowly growing. As he forced more and more strength into his attack, the pain grew proportionally as well.
The more strength he used and the longer he continued, the more pain the seal presented him with. So, Alex needed to do it as quickly as possible so he wouldn't be in as much pain.
Doing it all at once wasn't possible in the way a regular attacking would. The seal was like a stretchy skin surrounding his Soul Space that continued to stretch even as he applied force.
To pierce through it, he needed to apply a lot more force than would be needed in any other instance.
Alex was already doing a lot better than the previous times. He had to use all of his ability to merely make the seal flex the last time, but this time he had already done so and he could still keep going.
As he forced more and more, the seal continued to distort and flex with each instance. It continued to stretch upon encountering Alex's Intent, but it would only be able to do so for so long.
At some point, it would stop stretching and the tension on the seal would become far too strong to continue stretching any further.
