The massive fishes had gathered there for a while, waiting for more food to come their way. Alex had killed the past few days, and each time he did, it would attract other fishes to come there.
'Are there no herbivores among these fish?' Alex wondered. 'Do they all eat each other? Is that how they continue to get strong?'
Alex saw a fish swim for him, either following the light or his scent. He swung his sword to the right, and the fish was cut in half. He quickly swam up to it before the other fishes could and grabbed the beast core in its body.
Then, he turned towards the others that came for him and cleaved through them too.
Killing these fishes took barely any strength at all. He was way too strong for all of this. However, while fighting through these fish, he made two critical analyses.
First, he was most definitely weaker. His attacks should have been way stronger than just this.
'Damn,' Alex thought. 'There is no way the seal is suppressing my Intent as well, is it?'
Alex hoped that was not the case, but if it was, it would take him a lot longer than he had thought it would.
Second, none of these fish ever attacked with their Qi at all. They always came to get physical up close, despite their cultivation base. By now, they should be using their Qi for all sorts of things, and none of them were doing so at all.
'Do they not have the knowledge to do so?' Alex wondered.
Beasts required bloodline knowledge to know what they were supposed to do. They weren't intelligent enough on their own to learn what they could do.
'Maybe due to the lack of Heaven, they lost all their knowledge as well,' Alex thought. Although, he wasn't entirely certain if Heaven was involved in that or not.
After killing nearly 50 different giant fish, there were no more there for him to kill. So, Alex took out a giant sack and collected their beast cores.
After that, he sat cross-legged on the seafloor and waited for the other people to come get the fish remains. While he waited, he made sure nothing went to waste.
Since there was so much blood there, he had begun absorbing their blood aura as well.
The amount of blood aura within these fish was pitiful, and even that was diluted in these waters, but it was still something. And at this point, he didn't have the luxury to choose.
He had to use what he could get.
While he absorbed the blood aura in the water, the people from the tribe came to the scene of the massacre and took back what they could with them. Each one of them was stunned at the size of what Alex had killed and wondered if they too could reach that point in their life.
Alex waited until everyone was gone. Once they were, he decided to test out if his Intent had truly weakened or not.
He threw out a few attacks, each of which he knew how strong they should be. And yet, when he finally did manage to use those attacks, they were all quite weakened.
'No, something is definitely up. My attacks shouldn't be this weak.'
His attacks should have held the strength of the Immortal realm, capable of cleaving through mountains. And yet, the attack he was creating was barely capable of leaving a decent mark on a mountain.
'Damn you, Storm God. Just you wait.'
