Chapter 2480 Choose A God"After the tournament? Why do you ask that?" seaʀᴄh thё Nôvel(F)ire.nёt website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.
Alex was weirded out by the question as he couldn't imagine a reason for asking it.
"I just need to know," Windborn said. "I need to know what you plan to make my decision on whether to give you the ring or not. You can choose to not answer."
"No, it's alright," Alex said. "It's not as though I have anything to hide. The thing is, I don't really have many plans about my future. The thing I want to do the most after the tournament and every ceremony afterward is find my family."
"Your family?" Windborn asked with a curious look. "You do not know where they are?"
Alex nodded. "I had a cousin who ascended before me and took my family with them. I chose to stay behind because I had something to do. We never realized that there would be so many Immortal realms out here, so now I have to search for them."
Windborn's face grew somber. "Do you know where they are? Or have any idea where to look for them?"
"At this point, I'm hoping they will find me instead. They should learn about me soon enough after the tournament results spread throughout every other Immortal realm."
Windborn nodded. "So you are quite confident in your accomplishment in the upcoming competition."
Alex shrugged. "I have to be."
"Will you be leaving Medicine World then? I would imagine it would be better to stay here and wait for them to reach you," Windborn said.
"I will leave. I cannot be sure that they have the funds to purchase the ticket to get here. So I'll go search for them in other worlds myself," Alex said.
"Will you be leaving with a God by any chance?" Windborn asked. "I saw that the War God was quite surprised by your potential, and you talked about something at the end there. Did he recruit you by any chance?"
Alex paused for a moment. "Brother Windborn, that should be none of your concern. Whether I was or wasn't recruited by any god, what does that have to do with my alchemy talent and the tournament?"
Windborn took a second to consider it all and nodded. "My apologies. I shouldn't have asked that. I do want to ask what you would do if you were given the chance to work under the Alchemy God. Say you were being recruited by every single god, would you choose the Alchemy God, or do you have any other god in mind that you would want to work under?"
Alex narrowed his eyes for a moment. Disregarding the intent behind the question itself, he did find the question quite thought-provoking. If all gods asked him to come under them, would he go work under anyone?
"Are we simply speaking of joining their cult, or am I to consider discipleship under them?" Alex asked.
Windborn shrugged. "How about both? One is a simple offer to join, and the other is an offer to become their disciple. Which one would you take?"
Alex fell into some thought. "The main issue with this question is that I do not know that many gods. I only know so many of them, and choosing from them is difficult."
"Still, you should have some thoughts on who it is better to join," the man said. "And please don't say no one. Do choose one. Anyone."
Alex nodded. "If I cannot answer none, then I have an idea. If I am just to work under someone, then I will most likely choose the Sky God," he said.
