Chapter 1386 The Adjudicator
In a sealed space filled with darkness and the remnant of an existence-shaking battle, a faint glow arose from nothing.
Like a firefly that was stuck in space, that glow remained the same for months, but over time, although subtle, that glow was becoming brighter, and in the distance, a few tens of light years away, another similar glowing dot arose, and before long seven of these dots spread over hundreds of light years appeared.
As time passed the light from these dots had transformed into suns, burning bright and releasing such a great amount of heat that it would have turned a galaxy in the lower realms to ash if it were to be placed inside them, but in this dark space, the light from these seven suns hardly spread far, it was as if this space was suppressing all forms of light.
The light from these seven suns continued to brighten and grew increasingly hotter until a boundary seemed to have been crossed and a loud crack resounded across all seven suns. Great beams of waving light like massive tentacles erupted from the multiple suns and reached across the darkness, linking the suns to each other. More beams of light kept emerging from the suns and before long a vast array made from light was created, linking all seven suns together. This array was extremely complex with connections that exceeded the third dimension, as it weaved time and space, alongside memory and fate in a manner that boggles the mind.
The array spans hundreds of light years and when it was completed, the center of the array pulsed, and space parted like a curtain. This was a teleportation array, but it was an extremely special one that could only be made by one Primordial power in existence—The Celestials.
It was possible to see the sight of another realm through the gap in reality, and this realm was made up of seven massive spinning disks, it was clearly Aerovah.
From the void created by the array a massive face emerged, eyes closed and made from metal, the face was larger than a moon, and as the face fully entered through the void, the rest of its form was revealed shortly after.
A body that was fully made from gleaming golden metal, and large wings that burned with a silver flame, what emerged from the teleportation array was not an immortal, but a weapon. Its form was humanoid, and massive Celestial scripts burned across its entire surface, buckled on both sides of its waist were twin blades that were so long they trailed behind it for hundreds of light years. This weapon was an Archon.
Archon was the successor to Apollyon, the Destroyer, and was a Celestial Fortress built for war. Unlike Apollyon which was primarily made for Destruction, Archon served many other purposes and was as much a defender as a destroyer. After Apollyon was decommissioned when the Primordial Era ended because its nature could not be permitted in the new reality created by the Primordial, Archon was made at the beginning of the Supreme Era to represent the peak of Celestial Forging.
This sentient Celestial Fortress entered this unknown space, and its eyes that were closed flashed open, gleaming red, this was a weapon made for war and conquest, and a look in its eyes would reveal the depths of its powers.
In the instant that Archon's eyes opened, the darkness here was swept aside for countless millions of light years reflecting the red glow of its eyes, and yet with how massive this space was, this area unveiled from the darkness was less than one percent of the space here.
From the eyes of Archon, bright sparks numbering in the tens of millions erupted from it, and zooming closer to those sparks would reveal that these were Angels, and most of them had two pairs of wings, which meant they were Archangels.
Like a swarm of glowing insects, the Angels numbering in hundreds of millions surged out of its eyes, and as if these eyes were a portal to another reality, their numbers continued to grow seemingly without any limit, and these Angels did not appear to need any instruction for as they appeared they began to spread out in groups of fives as they ventured into areas that were not covered by the light from Archon.
Their speed left Light behind in shame pushing them to spread out rapidly, and the darkness inside this space slowly began to vanish as the glow from their flaming wings lingered in the air, and this glow tugged on the red light from the Archon, causing it to grow with the spread of the Angels.
From the eyes of Archon, more than a billion Archangels had emerged and there seemed not to be any end to their number, as more kept emerging.
In a short while the number had reached two billion and more were still streaming out of Archon's eyes, but soon the battle fortress began to frown, the motion was slight, but on its massive metallic face, it was easily discernible.
