There were many ways that Rowan could answer this question from the Mother of Poison, and it would dictate his path going forward from here on out, at least when it was related to the Children of Chaos.
He knew that this moment was coming, and no matter how much he would have preferred to avoid it, some things were out of his control. His only consolation was that he had a plan ready for this moment from the start.
Rowan would never have wished for these two to know that he was at Doom Star or that he had even left the lower realms, usually most immortals without a great backing in the higher realms would choose to remain behind for billions of years, some would even remain till the end of the universe to gain as much insight into the dimension of Time before taking the great leap to leave the universe of their birth, and Rowan only stayed for a million years to finalize his actions for the future.
This plan had called for the intervention of outside forces and that was what had drawn the attention of these two. @@novelbin@@
With the addition of Labaletai to his arrangement, Shamaran had been able to intercept the Chaos Door and piggyback into Doom Star where she had met Rowan, and so the truth about his involvement in the affairs of Doom Star was revealed. However, what was worthy of note was that in the eyes of Shamaran, Rowan was simply a fourth-dimensional Will holder inside a realm that contained seventh-dimensional immortals and traces of eighth-dimensional powers buried inside of it, including the Will of this realm, how could she have imagined that the Will of the realm was partly made by Rowan's Reflection?
Caine had also learned that Rowan was inside of Doom Star from Shamaran, he also learned that Rowan had left the lower realm a thousand years ago, but he was expecting that the next time he met with Rowan it would be a few million years from now, and despite his talents he would be struggling to reach the fifth dimension because Caine knew the relationship between Intent and Space and had been wondering how Rowan would ever be able to reach the fifth dimension if he was not going to reconnect with the Primordial Chaos.
He had expected Rowan to look for him in the future when he discovered how difficult it would be for him to reach the fifth dimension, and with the promise of aiding him, Caine would acquire his allegiance, before slowly twisting Rowan into his slave and taking everything he could from him.
This was just one of the hidden traps he had foreseen would be on the road of Rowan's ascension, and he was eagerly waiting for one of the many pitfalls he was anticipating along the way to trip up this upcoming powerhouse so he could gain enormous profit from it. However, not only was Rowan a fifth-dimensional immortal in just a thousand years, but he was also involved in a matter that was shaking the foundations of reality and drawing the fury of a Primordial.
"I do not welcome your tone, Mother of Poison. A moment before you were telling me that I do not understand the full breadth of reality or the true players who control the board, and now you want me to believe that I could understand who could be powerful enough to anger the Primordial Chaos? Instead of asking me that question, don't you think there is someone who should understand this situation better?"
Shamaran eyes squinted in annoyance and then a profound look of realization took its place as she turned to Caine, her voice was like the hisses of a million snakes,
"What have you done?!"
Caine had been going through his memories about everything that he knew about Rowan and he did not respond quickly enough to what Shamaran had just said, and when he realized the enormity of her questions, he almost laughed in anger, he could see how everything that had just happened could be traced to him. Was he not the first betrayer? The one known in all of reality to be the enemy of the Primordial Chaos? Who had proclaimed to all in existence that he would be the one to take over the dominion of Primordial Chaos?
On the other hand, who was Rowan, he had barely left the lower realms a thousand years ago, who did he know? What sort of waves could he raise even if he was given a billion more years? Shamaran knew that he was very interested in Rowan, but what she did not know was that his interest was related to the method Rowan had used to cleanse the Intent of Chaos from his bloodline, Caine could understand how his interest could be interpreted to be that Rowan was simply a pawn in a plan set up by him to destabilize the workings of Primordial Chaos.
Caine knew that even if he denied this affair, it was useless, and he also needed to protect the secrets that Rowan held to keep him safe from Shamaran for a while and to do that he would have to shift any sort of suspicion away from Rowan.
"Shamaran, do not be hasty in your conclusions, I seek to take the throne of our father, but I am not stupid enough to go past his bottom line. I did not destroy the Frozen Road and I had no hands in its destruction. Whatever is happening, is a matter beyond me and should likely be the plans of a Primordial. I will..."
Caine paused when he noticed that the gaze from Shamaran was growing heated, and he realized that every word he was speaking was not convincing her, instead it was the opposite, the Mother of Poisons had taken all the affronts he had made against Primordial Chaos as a baseline to judge the issue on ground, and he had been summarily pegged to be the guilty party. It did not matter what he said, he was the one who was responsible for the ire of the Primordial Chaos and he would pay.
Turning to Rowan, Caine growled, "I don't know how you did this, but you should know that I..."
"Silence!" Shamaran screamed, cutting off the words from Caine, she seemed to have reached the limits of her patience, "The next drop of blood would be falling soon, perhaps in a million years or less, in that time I will be getting to the bottom of this issue, Caine, you and your conspirators would be ferreted out, and this would not be the usual hunt as we did before. Every Child of Chaos would be coming for you. Your blood shall be shed to appease the rage of Chaos and it does not matter if you are guilty, you must die."
