Chapter 1146: The Inheritance of Abby Miller II
Vicente, Kong and Jelgos felt Mylecent’s instant change strangely. In an instant, she was ready to kill them mercilessly, having attacked with enough force to make the white dragon there bleed from several pores. But suddenly, she became peaceful. Her oppressive aura disappeared and all the undead stopped.
A serene and beautiful smile appeared on her face as she showed her palace with one of her hands. "Since you were handpicked by Minos, of course I agree to associate with you, young man."
Vicente smiled bitterly as Kong tried to pull himself together.
Jelgos felt his body prickle after blocking Mylecent’s move against them and sighed. He couldn’t help but look at this woman with different eyes.
’Apart from my master and the ladies, I doubt anyone else in Hell can handle her easily!’
Ignoring Kong and Jelgos, Mylecent focused on Vicente after ordering her underlings back to their waiting positions.
"So, young man, what do you expect from me? What are your plans?" She asked, looking into Vicente’s eyes and noticing more than the others could at first glance. ’That’s a really good foundation! Too bad Hell is incomplete, or he’d be like that guy...’ She thought about Jelgos’ master for a moment.
Vicente imagined that Mylecent had his own plans, but since she first wanted to hear him out, he wouldn’t be discourteous not to answer her questions. He returned to normal after the woman’s sudden change of mood and replied, "Well, I think the most important thing for me is to restore the Nine Paths and unite the countless dimensions again, just as they were connected in the distant past."
Kong and Jelgos became more serious, as was to be expected when dealing with such a profound subject.
The return of the Nine Paths would mean the end of Hell and Argardus, as the two dimensions currently were. There might be great opportunities in making such a process restorative of the past order, but destruction and loss would be inevitable.
While they might want such a return to former glory, there were many beings, both in Hell and in Argardus, who would oppose such a thing at the slightest sign of interest in it.
In particular, after all his personal experience, but also his journey alongside Vicente, Kong couldn’t help worrying about the successors of the enemies of the Celestial King, who could become the worst stones in their path.
Mylecent had already heard a little about these matters and was more up-to-date than the group visiting her first thought. Although she was a relatively new Devil, she had been used to Hell for tens of thousands of years!
She became a little more serious when she heard Vicente’s objective, but she didn’t interrupt him.
"Senior Minos seems to be a vital figure in such an endeavor, something I initially didn’t know what his role would be, but now that I’ve discovered some critical information, I know what his destiny is and how we’re connected."
"And what would that look like?" She asked, putting her good-natured side from a moment ago aside as they entered her palace of death. Her tone couldn’t hide how eager she was to know everything.
Vicente continued as his two companions followed behind them in silence. "Senior Minos is the successor to a legendary figure from ancient times, the Celestial King!
I don’t know if Senior Minos knows this or if he already knows about his own destiny, but I am certain that he is that existence. And given how I was saved by him and then turned into a Devil by his wife, I know in my heart that we are connected and have similar goals.
