Chapter 1140: Vicente’s Proposal II
’The successor to the Celestial King?’ The five women and Lothur thought simultaneously after Vicente spoke of the critical point of how he intended to achieve the goal of their alliance.
How could they not know who the Celestial King was?
Legends about ancient times, albeit sparse, existed in both Hell and Argardus.
And for the immortal residents of these dimensions, searching for information about the distant past was among their favorite hobbies.
Lothur and his wives knew that in the distant past, the Celestial King had been the strongest of the Absolutes of the Ancestral Realm.
The Celestial King had been at the peak of existence, leading the dawn of life and taking part in the creation of the rules of the planes of existence. From his actions, indirect or even direct, life had flourished on the various levels of reality.
But even with all his status, prestige, power, and wisdom, the Celestial King had still fallen, disappeared, and never returned.
Absolutes should be true immortals, indestructible in the face of time and space. But even they, the highest existences, had been almost completely erased from reality long ago.
The promise of the successors not only of the Celestial King, but of his other companions from holy land has endured through the annals of history.
Supposedly, even though they had disappeared, they hadn’t faded completely because of their immortal qualities. Their will, senses and talents were left behind after the great cataclysm. As long as they didn’t recover everything they had lost, they would continue to reappear for countless cycles.
’Someone with the will or any of the senses of one of the ancient Absolutes would have enough to reach the peak of cultivation without difficulty.’ Viktoria looked at Lothur, thinking of her husband’s power and how rare those at that level were. ’But that’s just an innate quality, one of many others necessary for success.’
Annalisse also looked at her husband, thinking deeply. ’Lothur and Deity Lydis reached the 9-Star of the Transcendent stage, but they faced countless challenges on their journey.
How many times have they almost been killed? How many times did they get that resource they needed at just the right time and place?
How many times have they come so close to ending their journeys before reaching the minimum of their potential?
Not least, only the two of them have reached this sublime level.’
’Could it be that this young Devil really does know the Celestial King’s successor is already developed enough not to be a vain hope?’ Rebecca considered the possibilities.
Being born with an exceptional talent was rare. But in the over 10,000 planes of existence connected to Anicane, in its billions and billions of living beings, there should be enough beings with the potential to reach the Transcendent stage.
But how many of them wouldn’t die in infancy, before even starting their cultivation?
How many others wouldn’t die after their first challenges?
And going further, how many didn’t fail to take the decisive step and enter the 10th stage?
Going even further, how many would actually manage to overcome all the stones in their path and reach the peak of the stage, 9-Star of the Transcendent Stage?
For the last 50,000 years, only Deity Lydis of Argardus had reached the level of a peak Transcendent, before Lothur achieved the same, centuries ago!
But, according to Vicente’s words, the Celestial King’s successor would need to be at that level...
Natali thought to herself, unsure of how firm Vicente’s trump card was. ’Unfortunately, it’s not enough to hope for. Not now, at least.’ She sighed, unable to hide her expression of skepticism. Looking at her harem sisters, she knew they were thinking the same thing.
They had all reached the high level of the 10th stage and were very close to her husband’s cultivation. Even so, they knew that the distance separating them from the 9-Star was so great that they couldn’t even compare to him.
They had had all the resources, the best cultivation sites, and the best possibilities. The Hell was where one could advance the fastest on all planes of existence. Even so, they still hadn’t managed to get even a glimpse of when they might reach his magnitude.
It was almost as if...
If there was no ’room’ for others of that level.
Lothur knew all that better than anyone.
’The peak of reality’s power has declined greatly since the end of the creators era. Back then, it was possible to become an Absolute and reach the power of creation. At that level, one could make the laws and elements work at will, breaking common notions.’
