Chapter 1103: Back to Anicane
Vicente waited no longer to make his departure from the Hell. The moment the Transcendent’s body exploded, he activated his teleportation formation, using everything he had left to leave the dimension before further trouble reached him.
Aware that more enemies were on the move and this would be her only chance, he screamed in agony as he suffered the consequences of traveling through space like this for the first time.
Each dimension had its own characteristics and, naturally, each medium posed distinct threats to those who tried to break through its barriers. As he flew through space time, moving along a path that even light could not follow, Vicente felt attacked from all sides, with his physical body, his soul, and his mind under attack from an invisible enemy.
He stood his ground, enduring the challenge that shouldn’t last long, concerned only with making it all the way back to Anicane before some Devil reached the position from which he had set off.
As long as he got to Anicane before an enemy reached his starting point, his chances of not being followed or found so quickly would be good enough for what he had planned. Otherwise, he would have a noose around his neck, with someone very close to being able to hang him!
His senses were good and told him when he left the Hell that he had a good chance of getting what he wanted. But of course, the self-sabotaging part of anyone’s mind in a situation like his made him doubt himself and fear the worst.
He just couldn’t tell if that was a bad thing or not. By thinking more about what worse could happen if someone from the Hell picked up his trail before space time itself undid his tracks, he withstood the test that would have killed other Sorcerers.
Fortunately for him, his current physical and spiritual abilities were like those of Transcendents, allowing him not only to survive but also to maintain lucidity and magical power.
Seconds later, Vicente felt a reverse sensation to when he first entered the Hell at the final moment of his journey, feeling as if he had left a mute submerged by a different kind of power, returning to what his body and soul were most used to.
As he passed through the last space time barrier, he felt his powers improving, with the surrounding mana and elements moving to nourish his essence. Meanwhile, the speed of his body, which was traveling so fast that it was more like a blur of light than a human, gradually lost its speed.
He saw a blue world around him, not at first identifying the sea below and the sky above. But as the seconds passed and his teleportation tool continued to work, he gradually felt aware of his surroundings.
His teleportation tool was not simple. It wasn’t like the common concepts of teleportation said about this method of transportation. The teleportation of his formation was the shortest path between the current point and the destination, crossing space in jumps of positions. It wasn’t possible to move from a starting position A to a position B in one go with the difference between dimensions that existed between the Hell and Anicane. Vice’s device broke the distance from A to B into several smaller segments, transporting the target of interest—him—to the destination as best it could.
For a moment, he could see the surroundings from where he was passing, watching his tool take him across the Sea of Stars, but gradually decreasing the number of jumps, which made him feel like he was moving more and more slowly.
