Chapter 1096: Devil Vicente’s first territory
Vicente didn’t have to go far. As soon as he spotted the opportunity indicated by Minos, it didn’t even take him 20 minutes to find the first Reincarnation Wheel in the territory formerly belonging to Devil Abby, free for anyone to challenge.
Minos had specifically brought Vicente to the Hell inside Abby’s former territory. Consequently, he was close to a number of areas available for challenge.
Taking advantage of not having anyone around to compete with him, Vicente would soon stop for his first challenge.
Even though he knew almost nothing about the Hell, his Infernal Crown made him feel more or less what he should do and where it would lead him.
Dominating territory and building his macabre influence seemed the only way to grow one’s darkness in this dimension. The way to do this was to integrate with the negative laws of the area and connect deeply with the hell dimension.
In Vicente’s view, the crown he had received earlier was nothing more than an element connecting living beings to this infernal reality, to the elements and rules of this region of space. Through it, he had the minimum to master zones and Reincarnation Wheels, which would naturally lead him to become stronger and more in tune with the dimension.
Vicente didn’t need to hear an explanation about the Hell from anyone to understand that if he achieved over 50% mastery over this space, he would become the supreme and absolute being of the Hell. Naturally, this would give him powers over the dead and their souls.
As he revealed his crown in front of the first Reincarnation Wheel he intended to master, he made his Throne of Darkness appear along with his violet, indigo, and cyan essences.
The surrounding mana vibrated, and the glow of that Reincarnation Wheel dimmed, quickly losing its threatening characteristic for those not connected to it, while a flow of power brought it closer to Vicente.
Vicente felt the flow of souls through that essence, noticing that, in the midst of the infernal darkness, there was also light. From death came life, with the legendary wheel in front of him transforming dead creatures into shooting stars, flying through time and space, going to new universes and worlds to rise again.
Seeing the process of reincarnation taking shape, he understood the workings of that primordial structure, but also weaknesses in its entirety.
’This wheel seems weakened, slow... Almost as if something were stopping its flow.’ Vicente’s eyes narrowed, unable to see what exactly was limiting that structure, but still perceiving the problem. ’Something is behind it... but is it related to just this wheel or is it something more general?’
His process of dominating his first territory in Hell came with an ease that Minos and his women had never encountered. If they had been watching the boy with the long black hair begin his infernal journey, the four of them would have been shocked by the natural affinity Vicente had, able to disregard tests that could be deadly to the unaccustomed.
His crown grew stronger and the black liquid in his being increased in density and volume, also increasing his power in qualitative and quantitative terms.
It wasn’t enough for Vicente to progress to the next level and obtain his stage advancement. But he improved a little more and was also able to formulate a local growth strategy.
