"I’m not what you imagined?"
The surprise was too much that I wasn’t able to control the expression on my face.
With the surprised look that I had, it wasn’t surprising that they had been able to guess what I had been thinking.
Since they had already guessed, it wasn’t as if there was a reason to pretend otherwise. That was why I just gave a nod in response.
"Well, it’s only normal that I wouldn’t be what you would imagine when it comes to one of the god’s messengers. I think that the only reason that I was able to become one was because of the god that I served."
There was a trace of bitterness that was in their voice when they said this.
It was clear that they were fully aware of how strange it was that they had been able to become one of the god’s messengers, but it also didn’t seem like they put themselves down too much.
This god’s messenger should have been alive for a long time now, so it was only natural that it would come to terms with this eventually.
But the fact that this god’s messenger was a bug just like the rest really was a surprising matter.
This bug that was the god’s messenger was even smaller than most of the bugs that were in this colony. It would have been hard to see them if it wasn’t for the fact that my vision had become much better compared to before.
Though it was still a bit hard to see this bug’s full appearance.
The one thing that I did take note of was a feature that seemed a bit strange, but also seemed to fit this bug. After all, this bug was the one that controlled this entire colony of bugs.
So the fact that it had what seemed to be a crown on its head was only fitting.
It was clearly the queen of this colony.
But there was something strange about the appearance of this bug since it didn’t seem to have the feature of a single race. It didn’t seem like the queen of an ant colony, it seemed to be some kind of mishmash of all different kinds of bugs mixed into one.
So it could be said that it was the overall queen of the insects with the appearance that it had.
"I know I have a strange appearance, but that’s also part of the identity that I’ve been given. First I want to introduce the god that I serve, Insectum. I think that you can already guess what kind of god they are."
With a name like this, it really wasn’t hard to figure out what they were the god of.
Though it was strange that there was even a God of Insects in the first place.
"Because of their blessing, I became the progenitor of all insects that exist. That’s why I was able to become a god’s messenger in the end."
Progenitor...so basically this bug god’s messenger was the very first bug that had come into existence.
If it was put that way, it only made sense that this queen of bugs was able to become a god’s messenger in the end.
The very first bug, that was quite the legendary status.
It was just like Adam and Eve among men...though that religion didn’t really exist in this game world.
"Do you have any messages for me?" I changed the topic by asking this since it felt rude to keep asking about the history of this god’s messenger.
Krtch, krtch, krtch.
There was this strange sound that came from the god’s messenger, but it seemed like it was laughing with the way that this sound came out.
After a while, the god’s messenger said in an amused voice, "Very straightforward, I like it. Then I won’t waste your time at all."
In a normal tone, the god’s messenger said, "I know that you’ve come to gather god’s messengers in preparation for the final battle and I can say that I’m willing to come with you, but there’s something that I need you to do first before I can come with you."
Though I had never encountered this situation when it came to meeting god’s messengers, I wasn’t really surprised. After all, it was strange that they would be so willing to follow me in the first place without caring about anything else.
It actually felt more normal to be asked for something before they came along with me.
So that was why I just said with a simple nod, "What do you need from me?"
Instead of giving a straight answer, the god’s messenger said, "Well, I’m sure that you can already tell that I’m different from the other god’s messengers that you would have met before."
A faint smile appeared on my lips when I heard this since this really was an understatement, but I kept my mind open as I waited to hear what they had to say.
"The power that I have is naturally different from theirs as well, which is why I have some special conditions that need to be fulfilled before I can come with you."
I gave another nod to show that I understood since this made sense.
"What I’ll need you to do is to bring this entire zone away with you."
"Huh?" I couldn’t help being caught off guard when I heard this before looking at the god’s messenger with a strange look.
With what seemed to be another laugh, the god’s messenger said, "Don’t look at me like this. I’m not messing around with you, I’m being serious."
I just said in an awkward voice, "Well, I do know some earth magic and I have a relic from Terra, it’s just that...it’s hard for me to move this entire space with that alone..."
"Who said that I wanted you to do that? I just want you to claim this habitat and take it away with you."
I was once again confused when I heard this.
