"Even if you look at me like that, it’s not as if I’m at the liberty to tell you anything." Aestum said in a calm voice when I didn’t respond.

I didn’t say anything still as I looked at Aestum with the same look as before.

But after a while, I finally said, "It’s enough that we have your support. I’ll think of a way for them to help me."

The ball of blue light moved up and down as if it was nodding in agreement to what I said.

After this, the kraken added, "It is my honour to serve the Holy Son."

Turning to the ball of blue light, it said, "Your eminence, I’ll follow the Holy Son now."

The ball of blue light moved up and down again as if it was nodding in agreement.

Then turning back to face us, Aestum suddenly said, "It seems like there are a few followers of that tyrant Aquaron with us. This was preordained, so I have a few words to share with you today."

With the way that Aestum said this, it was as if it had been waiting for this for a long time now.

However, none of us could understand what the problem was between Aestum and Aquaron.

Though they were technically opposing gods since they were both gods of the water attribute, it wasn’t as if there was a real conflict between them. After all, Aquaron was the God of Water and Aestum was the God of Tides.

The tides were things that existed in the water and there would be no tides without water.

It could even be said that Aestum should have been Aquaron’s subordinate based on all of this.

So why was their voice filled with hostility when they talked about Aquaron?

The Merman King didn’t say anything at first as he looked at the ball of blue light with a confused look on his face. But eventually he asked, "Is there some kind of conflict between you and Lord Aquaron?"

"Conflict? Ha, ha, ha, you can say that."

When Aestum said this, everyone was even more confused.

After all, there really didn’t seem like there should have been a reason for this kind of hostility between gods.

When Aestum stopped laughing, the tone of their voice suddenly changed as they said, "Do you really not know or are you acting like you don’t know?"

I couldn’t help looking at the Merman King with a strange look.

I wasn’t the only one that looked at him like this, even the royal guards couldn’t help looking at the Merman King with a similar look.

But no matter how we looked at him, he really didn’t seem to know what was happening.

It seemed like he was just as confused as the rest of us.

"Do you really not know?" Aestum couldn’t help asking one more time.

I couldn’t help feeling that this was strange since Aestum was a god, it should have been easy for them to read the mind of the Merman King...

No, it should be the trident that was Aquaron’s relic that was blocking Aestum from reading the Merman King’s mind.

Or that was the conclusion that seemed the most likely.

There was another one, but I was trying to ignore that since it would be quite bad if it was the case.

After a long silence, Aestum seemed to give a long sigh before they finally said, "It seems like you really don’t know anything about the tragedy from back then. Could it be that it was left out of history on purpose?"

Then in a different tone, Aestum said, "It would make sense that he would want to hide the crimes that he committed in the past. This is just what kind of person he is...In the end, the victors write history."

The Merman King and the royal guards couldn’t help revealing frowns.

Even if the other side was a god, it wasn’t as if they were just going to stand there and let that god insult the god that they worshipped.

But before any of them could actually say something, Aestum seemed to recover the majesty that it once had and said, "Let me show you the hidden history."

"Come out."

When Aestum said this, it seemed like there was a stir that came from around us.

The things that had been hiding in the coral houses seemed to have been inspired by what Aestum said and they slowly started showing themselves to us.

When they came out, we were all surprised by these things.

After all, these were creatures that none of us had ever seen before.

Even for me who had knowledge from a past life had never seen this kind of creature in the game before. It seemed like this was something that had never existed in the original game world that this world was based on.

These were different races of creatures among the ones hiding in the coral houses.

There was a race that was similar to dwarves, but they had parts that seemed to be made of water. There was a race that was similar to pixies, but there were wings that were made from water on their backs. There was even a race that seemed to be small lizard people.

It was clear that these were races that weren’t considered mainstream since none of these races were famous in my past life.

But here they were in front of us.

"Lord Aestum, are they here to attack us?"

When one of these creatures asked this, all of them seemed like they were worrying about this same thing. All of them looked at the Merman King and the royal guards as if they were afraid that they would do something.

However, that was the strange part of it.

All of them seemed very focused on the Merman King and the royal guards.

It was as if there was some kind of grudge between them and these mermaids in the first place...
