I could see that the mermaids were hesitant about following the kraken, but I didn’t say anything about this.

The moment that they were the most hesitant was when they were going past the space where the whirlpools had been previously.

It seemed like they were afraid that the whirlpools would appear at any moment, but nothing like that happened.

After making it past the place where the whirlpools had been, they couldn’t help being surprised by what they saw.

"This water...how is it this clear?"

The water that was hiding behind the whirlpools was much clearer than the water that was outside of this taboo area.

But it wasn’t as if it was just clear, it was that this water was much more pure than any water that was outside of this zone. It was clear that there was some kind of thing that had filtered everything out of this water.

However, that seemed strange.

Even if there were the whirlpools that moved the water, it wasn’t as if those whirlpools would have cleared out all of the different things that were in the water. This was the sea where there were all kinds of things in the water because of all the different living beings that were in the sea.

So it didn’t seem to make sense that there was water that was this pure.

Then again, even if it was the whirlpools that were cleaning out the water, it wasn’t as if they would still be doing it. After all, the whirlpools had disappeared which was the main reason that they were able to enter this place.

No matter how we looked at this place, it really didn’t seem to make any sense how it was this clean and pure.

The blue ball of light and the kraken didn’t seem to care about the surprised looks that were on our faces as they continued forward.

It didn’t take long for them to arrive at a place that seemed like a fantasy town.

This was more of a fantasy town than the capital of the Merman Empire.

The Merman Empire still used underwater rocks to build their buildings and such.

This place was a town that was completely made of coral.

It seemed like there wasn’t a single thing that wasn’t made of coral in this place.

When one looked closer, they would be able to see that there were things that were hiding inside of these buildings that were made of coral. Though it was clear that they weren’t willing to come out and meet us.

It was unknown if it was because of me as a human or if it was because of the mermaids that were behind me.

Once we arrived at the center of this place, we saw that there was this throne that was made of coral that was right in the center of the coral town.

This was a throne that seemed to rise far up above the town, as if it was some kind of monument for others to worship at.

The kraken wasn’t the one that moved towards this throne, rather it was the blue ball of light that moved there and sat down on it. Though when the blue ball of light sat down, it really looked strange since this throne was far larger than this small ball of blue light.

The kraken just went to the side of the throne and took its place floating there.

"Now, I’m sure that you’re wondering who I am and what this place is..."

Before they could introduce themselves, I said, "I never thought that I would see this scene, but a god actually descending into the mortal plane like this..."

"So you do know. It seems like they’ve told you a bit about me and this place already." The blue ball of light wasn’t surprised to hear me say this.

The Merman King and the royal guards on the other hand looked at me with confused looks as if they were waiting for me to explain.

After a short pause, I said, "This is Aestum, the God of Tides and the kraken is its messenger in this world."

As soon as they heard this, the Merman King and the royal guards looked at the blue ball of light with a strange look on their faces.

They never would have thought that this blue ball of light would actually be a god.

Though it did make sense since the powerful kraken even backed down when it spoke.

"How are you able to descend into the mortal realm like this?" I couldn’t help asking in a strange tone after another long moment of silence.

The blue ball of light didn’t say anything, but the way that it flickered...

It really seemed like it was laughing because it was amused by this question.

After flickering like this for a bit, Aestum said, "Well, my situation is a bit unique since I’m the God of Tides."

Then Aestum changed the topic by saying, "That doesn’t matter right now. What matters right now is the reason that you’ve come here."

The ball of blue light turned slightly as if it was turning to look at the kraken before saying, "We know the reason why you’re here and it would be my honour to have my messenger follow the Holy Son. It’s just that it’ll be hard for my messenger to follow you since it’s like this."

I didn’t react to the latter half of what the ball of blue light said as I narrowed my eyes to look at the ball of blue light.

Though it wasn’t the same as Nox, it was still talking in this polite tone towards me which was strange.

After all, this was a god that was in front of me.

It was one thing if only one god acted that way towards me, but it was even stranger when a second god acted this way around me.

It meant that there was a pattern between the gods...
