I didn’t expect to hear this voice again.

None of us expected to hear this voice again.

However, this was the voice that rang out after Dorothy collapsed like this.

After Dorothy collapsed, the black dot on the back of her neck no longer went on the same rampage as before. The only thing that happened was that there was a bit of corruption energy that came out that took the form of a small figure.

This small figure was a humanoid figure, but it was different from everything else that had been created with corruption energy until now.

This was a figure that was completely surrounded in the corruption energy which hid all of their features from sight.

However, the voice was enough to give up the true identity of this corruption energy figure.

"What did you do to her?" I said in a fierce voice.

"Ha, ha, ha, are you kidding me? You’re the ones that did this to her and you’re blaming us? It really is funny how ignorant you are." War said almost as if they were taunting us.

I glared at them without a single word.

The look in my eyes was as if I was trying to pressure War into telling us what happened. It was just that he didn’t seem bothered by the way that I was glaring at them.

Still, he said, "I’ll tell you because it would be in our best interest if you didn’t keep messing with her."

I wasn’t the only one that glared at War when they said this.

Rose glared at him as if she wanted to punch them in the face for what they said.

If it wasn’t for the fact that we did need them to explain what was happening, I would have thought that she would have actually done that with her personality.

After a pause, War said, "This isn’t something that we created, this is something that came from deep inside of her. This is a representation of her power, we just drew it out for her."

"Stop lying. She even said that you’re the one that did something to the back of her neck. There’s no doubt that you’re the one that put this black dot on her." Rose cut War off before they could say anything else.

War just calmly turned to look at Rose before saying, "You mean when I tapped her on the back of her neck? It was to activate her power and concentrate it in one place so that she wouldn’t lose control of it."

Turning back around, War walked over to Dorothy.

War walked over to where Dorothy’s neck was and even touched the black dot that was there.

The moment that this corruption energy figure touched it, the black dot seemed to stir.

It didn’t release more corruption energy when War made contact with it, but it seemed like it was moving along with War moving their hand. It moved around a bit until War finally stopped moving it around and it went back to the same place as before.

"See?"

"What was that even supposed to prove?" I asked while glaring at War once more.

War just turned back without responding to this. Instead, War just said, "If you keep trying to get rid of this thing, the only one that will suffer is her."

It didn’t seem like War wanted to keep talking to us with the way that they were pushing this conversation along.

But even if there was something that we wanted to do, it wasn’t as if we could do anything to help Dorothy...

So in the end, all I could say is, "When are you planning to come for her?"

War turned to look at me as if they were surprised to hear this, but then there was another laugh that came from them before they said, "This is a first, ha, ha, ha. You are quite the bold one. This is a first for me, someone actually asking me something like this."

Then when they stopped laughing, they said in a serious voice, "This isn’t something you can stop, so there’s no need for you to ask these questions. Just wash your necks and wait for us to come."

Without waiting for a response, the corruption energy figure seemed to break apart and faded away without a trace.

Since they didn’t want to say anything to us, there really wasn’t anything that we could do about this.

But what they did prove was that this wasn’t something that they had put on Dorothy.

Well, it wasn’t something that they were using to track her. It was something that they created by pulling out the latent powers that were inside of her.

I could tell that this was the case since when War was controlling the black dot, there wasn’t anything extra that was summoned. It seemed like there was only a mental connection, but the corruption energy came from Dorothy.

That meant that this was all corruption energy that came from her source...

There was no telling just how much corruption energy she could draw on, but that should be the connection that Max was talking about previously...

Once it was all over, there was only silence that lingered in the air as no one said anything.

There really wasn’t anything to say as we were all still processing what had happened.

During this time, Dorothy woke up and asked, "What happened?"

Looking at her, we really didn’t know what to say.

After all, there wasn’t anything that we could do for her now that we knew that this black dot was a manifestation of her power. If we were to keep trying to get rid of it, all it would mean is that we would be hurting her.

Perhaps there was a way to seal it, but that most likely wouldn’t be the best choice either.

So in the end, we were left at a loss as we had no idea what to do about Dorothy now...
