Dorothy didn’t listen to War in the end as she moved behind Lupus.

War didn’t mind this as they turned back to me to say, "Do what you want, but you won’t be able to stop us."

Without saying anything else, the figure suddenly collapsed down into the pool of corruption energy under it.

But it wasn’t just that, the pool of corruption energy suddenly started to fade away as well.

I didn’t do anything to stop it since I knew that I wouldn’t be able to follow War if they were escaping like this.

So in the end, the pool of corruption energy disappeared without a trace.

Even then, I didn’t move as I kept the barrier of ice up just in case they did something else.

War had been able to infiltrate this far into our territory, so there was no doubt that they had some kind of special technique for sneaking in this far. If they had this, there was no telling what other techniques that they had to hide from us.

But it seemed like they were indeed gone.

"Can you create a safe zone?" I asked Zeldir who was on my shoulder.

He gave a nod before suddenly raising his head to breathe flames upwards.

However, these flames weren’t dangerous as they were flames that were made of divine energy.

The flames that he breathed out didn’t actually fall down and instead seemed to float there in the air. It was as if it was forming a zone that was completely made of divine energy with how the flames lingered there.

In the end, there was this safe zone made from this divine energy that seemed like it could eliminate all corruption energy.

When this zone was created, there wasn’t a single reaction that came from the space around me which showed that there wasn’t any corruption energy here.

But when things were like this, it was better to be safe than sorry.

After the safe zone was formed, I turned around to face Dorothy and Lupus.

During the time that Zeldir had put up the safe zone, Lupus had done the same in the area around her.

At the space in between the two zones, there seemed to be a clash. However, I was able to move through that without a problem since both of them had accepted me.

When I came close, Dorothy came up before I could say anything and said, "I’m sorry."

I shook my head and patted her on the head before saying, "It’s not your fault. They were the ones that did all of that to you, so they’re the ones that are at fault."

This was true, they were the ones that had experimented on Dorothy before she was even born. It was impossible for her to resist since she hadn’t even existed before they did something.

No child could be blamed for how they came into this world.

"Are you hurt?" I asked her before spinning her around to take a closer look at her.

Dorothy shook her head, but I found something in the end.

"What is this mark?"

It wasn’t that obvious and I would have missed it if I didn’t look carefully.

This was a mark that was on the back of Dorothy’s neck where her nape was.

It had even been covered up by her long hair, so I had to push her hair aside to find this mark.

When her hair was pushed aside, I could see the mark in full.

It seemed to be some kind of small dot that was there on the back of her head.

It honestly didn’t seem like much and one would have thought that it was just a mole since it was black in colour, but I knew that it wasn’t that simple.

"When it appeared, I felt a prick on the back of my neck. I didn’t think that it was much, but..."

I knew that she was referring to the black dot that was there.

If I had to guess, it was most likely some kind of mark that they had put on her to track her. It was clear that this was some kind of mark that was created with corruption energy that they would be able to follow.

So I raised my hand and put it on the back of Dorothy’s neck.

As I had my hand on the back of her head, there was this glow that appeared around it.

I was planning on using my divine energy to purify the mark that was on her.

Though when this happened, there was a pained grunt that came from Dorothy.

When I heard this, I immediately stopped trying to inject the divine energy into Dorothy to get rid of this mark.

It seemed that the divine energy was hurting Dorothy more than it was hurting the mark that was on her neck.

So there was no point in trying to force this.

"For now, stay here inside of this safe zone while we figure out something else for you."

Dorothy nodded to show that she understood, but there was a worried look that was on her face.

I really didn’t have anything to say to her since I had no idea how they had even broken into the castle in the first place.

The only thing that I could do now was get Max to take a look at her and see if he could do anything about this mark that the forces of Destruction had left on her.

...

"She’s too dangerous to keep around."

It was inevitable that this would be the opinion that the representatives from the racial alliance would have.

After all, it had caused one of the Four Omens to personally act to come and try taking Dorothy away from us.

Even now, we had no idea what to do about the mark that was on the back of her neck.

Max had taken a look at it, but he said that he needed more time since he never saw anything like it before.

So that was why Dorothy was still being treated as a prisoner up to this point.

And it was only reasonable that the racial alliance would act this way towards her.
