Before anyone could do anything, the same voice rang out again.

"Well, it’s been a while since we’ve last seen each other."

For some reason, it was much more polite compared to before.

After this was said, there was a change that occurred with the corruption energy.

There was a part of the corruption energy that started to gather as if it was transforming into something.

In the end, this mass of corruption energy came together until it took the form of some kind of human figure.

There wasn’t anything special about this figure, it seemed like a very normal human figure.

The thing was that there were no features that were on this figure.

What happened was that the corruption energy that wrapped around this figure seemed to be hiding everything that could be recognized from this figure. It was as if there was some kind of mosaic that was wrapped around the figure with how the corruption energy blocked their appearance.

But that wasn’t important.

The important thing was what this figure wanted to do...

"What do you want?" I asked when I came back to my senses.

Though it couldn’t be seen, one could tell just based on the tone of the voice that came out. It was easy to tell that there was a smile on their face when they spoke.

"It seems like you’ve hidden something quite important from us."

Right after this was said, the corruption energy that was around that figure seemed to stir.

I knew exactly what this corruption energy was targeting, so I didn’t hesitate for a second as I charged forward at their target.

But halfway, the corruption energy seemed to change.

It stopped surging towards Dorothy and Lupus that were still inside of the barrier and came for me. They formed spikes that stabbed at me as if they wanted to pierce right through me.

It was just that I was ready as well.

There was a barrier of ice that appeared around me as these spikes came at me.

The spikes just weren’t able to break through the ice barrier that appeared around me. In fact, they seemed to explode the moment that they made contact with the ice barrier that was around me.

Or it was better to say that they scattered in the wind.

They had been purified by the divine ice that was around me, causing it to disappear without a trace.

"Ha, ha, ha, I guess that this isn’t enough."

The way that War said this really didn’t seem like they cared about the results of using these spikes. It was as if this was all a game to them...

"What are you planning?" I asked War after coming in between the figure and Dorothy.

"Well, what else do you think we’re planning to do? Since you’ve gotten the Child of Destruction, it’s only natural that we would want to take her back." War said in a non chalant voice as if they didn’t seem to care about anything.

But since they said this, it was clear that this was an important matter for them.

It was just that I had no idea how they even found out about Dorothy in the first place.

"Don’t worry for now since we won’t be able to do anything. This is your stronghold, it isn’t as if we could sneak in that much power to begin with."

As War said this, it seemed like the corruption energy was starting to fade.

"We’ve brought enough to find what we’re looking for, but it isn’t anywhere near enough to actually take her away with us. You don’t have to worry about it now, but you should be careful in the future since we’ll be back for her. When the time comes, I wonder if this place will be able to handle our assault."

"You think that you can scare me?" I asked in a cold voice.

"Never. You’re the chosen one of those abominable gods, so how could you be scared by a small threat like this? It’s still good to keep this in mind since you’re also a king."

The way that War spoke really did get on one’s nerves, but I ignored this since I knew that there was something else that they wanted.

"How did you manipulate those monsters?"

"Ha, ha, ha, it seems like you’re quite bold to ask me this directly." War’s voice was filled with amusement when I asked this, but I didn’t say anything as I waited for a response from him.

"Well consider this a present for doing so well to get here. It’s very simple, did you really think that us Four Omens would be that simple?"

I couldn’t help knitting my brows when I heard this, but I didn’t say anything as I waited to see what else War would say.

"It’s very simple, us Four Omens have powers that other Apostles of Destruction don’t have. Though in the case of those two idiots, they are just too weak to use them properly."

"Other powers?" I asked in a slow voice.

The figure gave a nod as they said, "It’s what we received as our titles, we can incite those things."

"Then since you’re War, you can incite war?" I was slowly realizing what he meant by this.

That was how the monsters seemed like they only cared about following orders.

There was this form of mental manipulation that went through them which was caused by War’s power...

But if War had this kind of power, why not use it against the racial alliance.

If there were civil wars that broke out among the racial alliance...

"It’s not that simple. It depends on their intelligence and their willpower. It’s easier to manipulate those brainless monsters, but actual intelligent creatures...It’s not as if we’re omnipotent."

I narrowed my eyes to look at War once more after they said this.

But War just said, "That’s the only freebie that you’ll get."

Turning around to look at Dorothy, they said, "My lady, I hope that you will consider coming with me since it’s your true place to be."
