"You had something this interesting and you didn’t tell me about it at all?" The Dwarven King said in an angry voice.

I looked at him with a faint smile before saying, "I’m telling you about it now, aren’t I?"

He just looked at me with an angry look, but I knew that he wasn’t actually angry at me.

This was just the kind of playful anger that one would have with a family member and we were brothers in law.

But in the end, I added, "I wasn’t even certain if this would work. If it wasn’t for that cooking tournament, then I wouldn’t have even thought of this."

The Dwarven King also revealed a serious look when he heard this before he looked at the glowing weapons that had been placed in front of us.

After the second round of the forging tournament was over, all of the weapons that had been created had been gathered and brought to me. The participants didn’t mind at all since everything had been supplied to them by the host, they were just entering the tournament to show off their skills.

So they knew that these wouldn’t belong to them by the end of this round.

The first thing that the Dwarven King did after looking over these weapons was pick up one of them.

"Good eye." I couldn’t help saying when he picked this up.

With a confident smile, the Dwarven King said, "Who do you think you’re talking to?"

He was right about that, the dwarves chose their king based on who was the most skilled. So it was only natural that he would be able to recognize which one of these weapons had the best quality.

He didn’t hesitate at all to pick it up, that just went to show how sharp his eyes were.

Even though he clearly couldn’t sense the divine energy that was inside of it.

"How do you want to test it?" The Dwarven King suddenly asked this.

"How else?" I said with a faint smile.

The Dwarven King raised one brow, but then he didn’t look as surprised when he saw who came over. Rather, he couldn’t help narrowing his eyes to look at the one that the royal guards were escorting over.

It wasn’t his first time meeting this person since this person had been shown to all of the leaders of the racial alliance.

After all, they had already discussed her previously and what they should do with her.

After looking at Dorothy like this for a bit, the Dwarven King asked, "Are you sure that it’ll be safe? Can she control her powers properly?"

"If anything goes wrong, I’ll be here, right?"

The Dwarven King raised a brow in response to this, but eventually his expression relaxed as he looked at me.

This was the trust that he had in me, but it wasn’t as if I hadn’t proven that I was worthy of this trust.

When it came to the corruption energy, I really was the best person to deal with it.

So in the end, Dorothy was called forward to summon some corruption energy monsters.

We had already created several arrays that would trap those corruption energy monsters until we were ready to face them, but it did seem like they were far more aggressive than before.

It seemed like they were also stronger than before.

I couldn’t help narrowing my eyes to look at her after she summoned these corruption energy monsters.

"It really feels like she’s slowly changing...It feels like she’s turning the corruption energy into her own..."

But eventually I shook this thought out of my mind because of what Nox told me before.

One day, there would be an answer.

Until then, I would just have to wait.

Klein was the one that stepped forward to face the corruption energy monster.

He took the weapon that the Dwarven King had been holding and went to one of the cages that had a corruption energy monster inside. When he approached, he turned back to give a nod as if he was saying that he would do his best.

Then he headed into the cage where the corruption energy monster noticed him right away.

As soon as it did, it charged at him as if it wanted to rip him apart.

Klein didn’t waste any time in bringing that spear forward to stab out at the corruption energy monster. Even though he usually used a sword, he was still quite skilled with the spear that he was able to use it with confidence.

When the tip of the spear made contact with the claw that the corruption energy monster created, there was a strange sound that came from the corruption energy monster.

This was a sound that we had never heard before, but it was clear what it meant.

Fear.

It seemed that the spear actually seriously injured the corruption energy monster and it had to move away. Even though before this, the corruption energy monster had never shown any signs of being hurt when hit with corruption energy.

They avoided it since the corruption energy was the antithesis to what they were, but they never felt pain or feared it like this before.

"Did you change how you summoned it?" I couldn’t help asking Dorothy.

She just simply shook her head and said, "No, this one is the same as the others that I’ve summoned."

If that was the case, then that meant that there was something special about the spear that Klein was using...

Since the corruption energy monster had felt pain from being stabbed by the spear, it had become cautious of it. It didn’t charge forward like it did before, it didn’t charge fearlessly like any other corruption energy monster.

So Klein wasn’t able to get a hit in with the spear until finally the corruption energy monster seemed to lose its patience.

When it did, Klein was able to easily trick it into coming into his range and stabbing it.

"I see, it concentrates it." I said as soon as he stabbed the spear into the corruption energy monster.
