"Keep swinging! Who told you that you could stop?"

Klein was caught off guard when I said this, but then he swung his sword again when he saw the serious expression that I looked at him with.

Though there was a confused look on his face as he did this since he had no idea what he was doing.

I just ignored the confusion on his face and the faces of the other royal guards, the only thing that I was focusing on was Klein’s sword as he swung it.

After watching him swing this sword like this for a bit, I couldn’t help slightly knitting my brows.

"Is something wrong?" Klein asked the moment that he saw this. He even said this as soon as my expression changed since he had been staring at me the entire time, waiting for any kind of change in my expression.

After all, he had no idea what I was having him do.

I didn’t say anything at first, but then I said, "It’s getting weaker with each swing."

Klein couldn’t help revealing a strange look when he heard this, but then he swung his sword a few more times. When he did, it was clear that there was more vigor that was behind each of these swings.

With how he increased his strength while swinging, it was clear that he was trying to show off his power.

Only I had lost interest in him.

After all, what I was talking about wasn’t the strength of the swing itself, but rather the divine energy that was being channeled from inside of him with each swing. As he swung his sword more and more, there was less and less of that divine energy that he was drawing on.

It wasn’t that surprising that this was the case, but it seemed like the rate that the divine energy was weakening was quite fast.

It seemed like it only lasted for a few minutes before running out.

Though there was a part of me that wondered if it wasn’t related to time at all. There was a part of me that wondered if this was something that was related to the number of times that Klein swung his sword.

After all, it would make more sense that there was less and less of this divine energy left inside of him as he used more and more of it with each swing.

But in the end, it really seemed like it was a mix of both of these.

It seemed like there was a natural release component and there was a targeted release.

It was only natural that the divine energy wouldn’t be able to remain in them forever, especially since they didn’t have bodies that suited holding this divine energy. So the amount that was in them would eventually leak out.

Then there was the part that Klein was channeling with each swing.

"It seems like it’s important to conserve the energy that’s released with each swing if that’s even possible."

That was my conclusion for maintaining this state as long as possible.

However, there was another thought that was on my mind.

"Just how strong were each of those swings?"

I could sense the amount of divine energy that was released with each swing, but that didn’t mean that I was able to tell just how much damage that would do to a corruption energy monster.

This was the kind of thing that had to be tested to be figured out.

Once I lost interest in Klein, I turned to the glowing food that was remaining.

It was still glowing, but I could sense that there was a part of it that seemed to be weaker than before. It seemed like even the divine energy that wrapped around the food was slowly dissipating into the air.

Well, that wasn’t actually that strange since it wasn’t as if this divine energy belonged in this food in the first place. It could even be said that this divine energy was forced into the food during the process of cooking, which had created this miracle.

So it was only natural that it would run out of divine energy eventually.

"It seems like it does preserve it to a certain extent, so this food can be stored for some time. It’s just that it’ll eventually run out of power, so the sooner it’s consumed the better."

The more that I observed, the more that I was figuring out.

But it wasn’t as if I could do all of this on my own.

I needed more people, I needed people that had specialized equipment for this.

It really was regrettable that I didn’t think of this sooner so we could have worked on the samples when they were still much stronger.

"Call for Max and Puffer. We need to set up a study area as soon as possible."

Klein and the others were once again confused when they heard this, with Klein looking a bit disappointed since I was ignoring him as he swung his sword.

But in the end, they followed my orders since they could see the serious look on my face.

I looked back down at the glowing food when they were all gone and thought to myself, "This really will open a new door for us, but it shouldn’t be food alone that can be imbued with divine energy..."

The more that I thought about this, the more certain I was of this.

After all, the medium that had been used to imbue divine energy into the food was the divine energy flames.

There were other methods of crafting that also used flames.

Such as forging or alchemy.

It was a good thing that there was this tournament that had gathered the best of the best on the continent in these fields in the Kite Kingdom.

So if someone were to swap out the flames that were used with divine energy flames, it would mean far more samples for us to work with.
