I walked out to see that it was already over.
When we came out, Baron Greve immediately glared at me as if I was his worst enemy.
Though with the current situation, it wasn’t as if this was wrong.
After all, I had completely ruined his life with everything that happened.
Still, I didn’t mind the fact that he was glaring at me and walked over to where he was.
It was just that I completely ignored Baron Greve even though it looked like he was prepared to negotiate with me. It was as if he didn’t even exist in my eyes with the way that I walked right past him.
"You!" Baron Greve tried shouting, but he didn’t get to say anything else as the blade was pressed up against his throat even more. If he were to do anything else, there was no doubt that the blade would have cut right into his skin.
He couldn’t understand how this person was so confident in doing something like this even though he was a baron.
If he were to actually harm him, did he really think that he would be able to escape this place?
After walking past Baron Greve, I went to where the boss of the Orca Gang was and said with a smile, "Thank you for acting exactly as I hoped you would. Because of you, things went much more smoothly than they should have."
The boss of the Orca Gang revealed a very ugly look on his face when he heard this, but there wasn’t anything that he could say at this point.
After all, there was a masked person that had appeared by his side as well that was currently pointing a blade at his neck. If he were to do anything, his head would go flying before he could actually move a single inch.
So the only thing that he could do was glare at me.
I didn’t care about him glaring at me like this since I was waiting for something to arrive.
It didn’t take long for this group to arrive.
"You really cleaned up everything already. That makes things much easier to deal with."
The person that led this group was a serious looking man with sharp eyes covered with glasses. It was clear that this person was someone that was quite important with the aura that he released.
The moment that he appeared, Baron Greve had a shocked look on his face.
It was because he recognized this person the moment that he saw him.
The others didn’t since they weren’t important enough to know this person, but he certainly did as a noble of this kingdom.
It was just...
"What is this person doing here?"
When he saw this person, he realized that things weren’t as simple as he thought and it seemed like he was in far more trouble than he previously thought. After all, he could see that this person was looking at the one that had caused this entire mess as he said this.
"Then I’ll be counting on you to take care of everything." I said after seeing this person.
This person was the one that I was waiting for and this person wasn’t just any person, this person was someone that was very special. Or at least he was in the kingdom that we were currently in.
He wasn’t the king or part of the royal family, but it could be said that he was the one that was behind the current king and the one that controlled everything in this kingdom.
He was the current prime minister of this kingdom.
In short, he was what Noah was to me in the Kite Kingdom, but he actually wielded even more power than Noah did.
That was why for someone like him to get involved in this matter was more than enough to show just how they were treating this matter.
It was because they knew who I was that they were acting this way.
Though that was also partly because I had reached out to them.
I knew that the best way to take care of this was to reach out to them and let them handle this matter, which was why I had revealed myself.
Turning to Baron Greve, I said, "I think that you should understand where you’ve messed up. I’m sure that we won’t ever meet again, so I won’t remember you either."
Baron Greve’s expression twisted when I said this, but I simply didn’t care about his reaction.
The only thing that I had to take care of now was...
As if I had suddenly thought about it, I went over to the boss of the Orca Gang and pulled out the contract that he had taken earlier.
Once I took this out, I turned to the prime minister and asked, "I think that we can null this thing, right?"
He gave a simple nod with a faint smile on his face without actually saying anything about this matter.
Seeing this, I just simply ripped the contract in half before burning it.
I didn’t bother saying anything else to the boss of the Orca Gang since it was unlikely that we would see each other again. Just like with Baron Greve, there was no doubt that he would receive the punishment that he deserved.
If he got anything less than the death penalty, then it meant that there was something wrong.
When I went back into the hideout, I found that there were more masked men that were there cleaning everything up.
When they saw me, they gave nods of acknowledgement before they continued doing what they had been doing.
I went over to Amelia who was still in a daze after our last conversation.
Standing nearby was her husband and a few masked people who seemed to be waiting for something.
When she saw me walk over, she looked at her husband one last time before giving a nod to the masked men.
Once they received this acknowledgement, they didn’t waste any time in picking him up and dragging him away.
He seemed like he wanted to break free, but there was nothing that he could do as he was held tightly by the masked men. With the way that they gripped him, it was as if he was being held in an iron vice that he couldn’t do anything against.
So in the end, the only thing that he could do was look at Amelia as if he was begging her to save him.
There was a complicated look that was in Amelia’s eyes when she saw this, but it seemed like she had made her decision in the end. She didn’t move a single muscle as she watched him being carried away.
When it was over, I said, "It’s easier to rip off the bandage in one go rather than drawing it out. This is a goodbye to your past life and a door that is opening up into your new life."
Amelia didn’t seem to react at first, but eventually she gave a slight nod before turning to me and walking forward.
All I could do was awkwardly stand there as she buried her head in my chest.
