"Don’t run too far off." I shouted at Dorothy, but it didn’t seem like she heard me as she ran forward to look around the town.

The way that she ran around, it really seemed like she was someone from the countryside that had entered a town for the first time.

There were some people that looked at her with a smile on their faces, but there were also those that looked at her with disdain.

That was just how it was when one looked like they came from the countryside.

However, it wasn’t as if Dorothy had never seen something that was bigger than this place.

The capital of the Kite Kingdom was a city that was far larger than this town and it was a place that was filled with the goods that came from all over the world. With how developed the Kite Kingdom was, it was only natural that the capital of this kingdom would be able to collect goods from all over the world.

Adding in the treaties that were signed with the different races, it could even be said that the Kite Kingdom really was the center of the current economy.

After all, it was the only place to get goods that should have been the specialties of the other races.

While it was possible to mark these goods up, Haley and the prime minister chose not to do so.

They made sure that the price was good enough that everyone would be able to afford it, but it wasn’t low enough that we would be sacrificing profit just to make sure that everyone would be able to buy it.

It was at a level where everyone would benefit from this deal.

But of course, the two of them made sure that the one that benefitted the most was the Kite Kingdom.

That was just how good they were at their jobs.

However, I stopped thinking about this and focused on chasing after Dorothy.

I wasn’t really worried that she would be in danger since there was someone following behind her.

This was a thing that didn’t seem that dangerous, but there was no doubting the power that this thing possessed.

On the surface, it looked like a little dog that was chasing after its owner.

But in reality, this was a powerful Fenrir that was watching over Dorothy on my order.

Since it was my order, the Fenrir was actually happy to follow it and watch over Dorothy. She even said that she would make sure that not a single hair would be harmed on Dorothy’s head before following her.

I didn’t doubt this since the Fenrir’s power was quite well known.

But eventually I did have to call Dorothy back since she was running in the wrong direction.

Dorothy didn’t seem happy that I had called her back, but she listened this time since I said it in a strict voice. She looked like she had wanted to keep running around, something that she hadn’t been able to do in the capital of the Kite Kingdom with how monitored she was.

It really was different being escorted through a place instead of running around on one’s own volition.

But I had to since she was running away from our destination.

"Hi, we’d like a room." I said to the person standing behind the counter when we walked in.

This was a beautiful woman who looked at me with a smile before saying, "No problem, we still have plenty of rooms." Then turning to Dorothy, she said, "You have a beautiful daughter."

When she received this compliment, there was a blush that appeared on her face.

Dorothy wasn’t used to being complimented like this.

It wasn’t as if she received compliments when she was trapped in prison and it wasn’t as if she received compliments after she was freed from the prison because of her situation.

That was why she couldn’t help feeling shy when she received this sincere compliment for the first time.

After blushing like this, she actually rushed behind me and poked her head out before saying, "Thank you."

Then without even waiting for a response, she went right back behind me and hid herself once more.

The beautiful woman couldn’t help shaking her head with a smile before asking, "Are you looking for one room or two?"

"Give me your most expensive and biggest room." I said without hesitation before taking out a gold coin that I placed on the counter.

The beautiful woman was surprised since most of her customers normally didn’t pay in gold coins. After all, it wasn’t as if this place was considered that special of an inn.

A single gold coin was already enough to cover the cost of a room at this inn for a month.

Even if it was the best room, it was more than enough to cover it for two weeks.

So she was certainly surprised that this person and his daughter would stay here even though they were rich enough to toss out a gold coin like this.

There was even a part of her that wondered if they were being chased by someone and if they would cause trouble for her inn...But in the end, the beautiful woman took the gold coin and said, "Not a problem, we’ll prepare the best room for you. With this amount, it’ll be enough for you to stay there for two weeks if you don’t plan on buying meals as well."

"Is that so?" Then without a single trace of hesitation, I took out three more gold coins and said, "Then just keep a running tab for me and include meals as well."

The beautiful woman was surprised by the extra gold coins and it seemed like she was curious, as well as cautious of who I was.

But in the end, she still took the gold coins and nodded in response.

She led us into the inn and we passed by the bar which was filled with people.

This was certainly a lively inn.
