After I asked Solista to take out the divine relics, she just didn't waste any time in gathering the gods to show their divine relics to me.
However, the way that she did it…
"Next is the God of Thunder who will be showing off his electrifying divine relic."
It wasn't just for a single god that she did this, she did it with several other gods as well as they walked forward and presented their divine relics to me.
It had somehow turned into a kind of fashion show where the gods were all showing their divine relics to me.
First, it was strange that all of the gods wanted me to take their divine relics like this.
Second, it was strange the way that they were showing it to me.
It really seemed like they had learned from the fashion shows in my past life with how they walked down this open area and presented their divine relic.
When they reached the end of the 'runway', they even did a small demonstration of what the divine relics were capable of.
After they were done demonstrating their divine relics, the gods would move to the side and hold up their divine relics as if they were presenting them. It seemed like they were just waiting for me to come to a decision.
This continued for a while until several dozen gods had shown me their divine relics.
I was quite surprised that there were these many gods in the first place…
But when Solista saw that I didn't say anything, she said, "If you're not satisfied, we can gather more divine relics with a bit more time. It's just that it was done on short notice, so we couldn't gather everyone."
I looked at her with a very strange look when I heard this.
She was saying that she wanted to bring even more gods over to present their divine relics to me.
With the way that she said this, it was almost as if the gods just had nothing but free time on their hands. It seemed like they had nothing better to do than to present these divine relics to me.
I just shook my head in the end before saying, "It's not that I'm not satisfied, I'm just thinking about which one I should pick for the Sword Saint. I want to find one that suits him well so that he can bind to it as soon as possible. We'll need his power soon for what we're about to do."
Solista gave a nod before pointing out several of the gods that had presented before and saying, "If you want, you can choose those ones. Those would suit him quite well."
I looked at her with another strange look when she started suggesting these things to me.
It really felt strange to have a god recommend divine relics to me, but I did take her suggestion into consideration. After all, the things that she recommended really were divine relics that were useful to Old Man Lancelot.
If I took these, then he should be able to adapt to them quite quickly.
After thinking about it, I decided to take the God of Thunder's divine relic which was a thunder bolt that could be used as a sword.
It was a strange shape to be used as a sword, but I believed that someone that had once been a candidate for the Sword Saint would be able to get used to this.
At the same time, the power that the God of Thunder demonstrated really wasn't anything normal.
This really was one of the best offensive divine relics that would suit Old Man Lancelot very well.
"Alright, that's one down. What else do you want?"
When Solista said this, I looked at her with a strange look one more time.
"What's wrong? Did you really think that you would only be getting a single divine relic?"
I slowly gave a nod in response.
Solista then said, "Of course not, you've done far more than just one divine relic's worth. It wouldn't be right if we were only to give you a single divine relic for everything that you've done."
She pointed at the divine relics that the gods were holding up and said, "With your merit, you have enough credit to take at least four or five more of these."
My lips couldn't help twitching when I saw her like this.
With the way that she was acting, it was almost as if she was offering these divine relics to me like they were prizes from an arcade. She was offering them like they weren't worth anything at all.
But in the end, these were relics from gods.
These were relics that were filled with divine energy, things that shouldn't have been in the mortal world in the first place.
So for her to be acting like this, it really was a strange feeling.
In the end, Solista didn't seem like she would stop unless I took more of these divine relics. At the same time, there were even more gods that were called over to demonstrate their divine relics.
With the way that they looked at me after they demonstrated what their divine relics were capable of, it was as if they were worried that I would just abandon them.
I got this feeling from them even though I couldn't actually see their faces.
I definitely didn't want gods to be looking at me like this…
It took a while, but I was able to pick out a few divine relics that I liked.
These would certainly be useful not just for Old Man Lancelot, but also Alidus and the saintess. After all, the divine relics that they currently possessed were offense based, so it would be good for them to have some divine relics that were defense based.
It would round out their abilities when it came to fighting the forces of Destruction.
We would all have to level up to face the forces of Destruction.
