Klein and the others clearly looked like they weren’t too keen about entering this passage that appeared.
But in the end, they had no choice but to follow me since I walked through without any hesitation.
The wyverns on the other hand weren’t able to follow us since this passage was only human sized. The only way forward for them was the large gate that was in front of us, but that was still closed.
So in the end, the wyverns had to wait outside for us to open up that gate.
After making our way through the passage, Klein and the others were surprised by what they saw.
After all, this certainly wasn’t what they had been expecting.
In front of them was something that seemed to be a temple.
It was a temple that was built inside a cave, which made it seem even more strange.
But around the temple were buildings that seemed to be some kind of town that was built around the temple. With how they were shaped, it was almost as if there was some kind of civilization that had lived here previously.
Or there might even be some kind of civilization that currently lives here.
As this thought passed through their mind, Klein and the other royal guards immediately raised their guards and surrounded me as if they were going to protect me.
However, I just walked past them towards the temple that was in front of us.
Klein and the other royal guards revealed bitter looks on their faces when they saw me act this way, but they still followed me forward in the end.
I walked a bit until I stopped at a tablet that was placed in front of the temple.
Once I was here, I said, "Temple of Winds."
Klein and the other royal guards looked at me with a confused and surprised look when they heard this before looking at the tablet in front of us with narrowed eyes. However, it didn’t seem like they were able to understand what was on the tablet based on the looks that they had.
This couldn’t be blamed on them since what was written on the tablet was written in a language that they just couldn’t read at all.
This was a language that had disappeared from the continent for many centuries now, so it could be considered a long lost language.
The only ones that might be able to recognize this language were those that had studied this kind of stuff for many years.
Yet, I was able to read it...
However, I could see the doubt that was in the eyes of Klein and the others as they didn’t think that I would be able to read this tablet.
They were right to think this since I wasn’t actually able to read this tablet, but that didn’t mean that I didn’t know what was written on this tablet. I knew because of my knowledge from my past life.
In the game, the players wouldn’t actually be able to read the tablet.
All that they would see was a notification screen showing a translation, but that wasn’t possible in this world.
However, I was able to recognize the words that were on the tablet and they were the same from the game. That meant that I was certain that I was in the right place.
There was a part of me that even felt relieved because of this.
Since I was in the right place, it meant that I knew what would come and what was waiting for me.
I didn’t remain in front of this tablet for long as I suddenly turned around and walked to the gate.
Klein and the other royal guards were surprised to see this, but there was a part of them that seemed relieved when they saw this. They thought that I was turning around to leave this place.
But this assumption of theirs was wrong as I was just turning around to open the gates for Joan and the other wyverns.
Once I came to the gate, I didn’t hesitate to pull one of the levers that were there among the different levers that were in the wall.
Klein and the other royal guards had grim looks on their faces when they felt the area shaking, but they still did their jobs as they came forward as if they were trying to protect me.
It was just that there was nothing to protect me from.
The sound that rang out was the sound of the gates opening.
Once the gates were open, Joan and the other wyverns came in and they were just as surprised as Klein and the royal guards when they saw what was here.
I ignored them as I headed back to the temple, but I didn’t go right to the temple.
Instead, I went to one of the buildings that was near the temple.
This seemed like an ordinary building, but I knew that this wasn’t one.
Even when I entered, it seemed like it was nothing more than an ordinary residence.
I ignored the looks that Klein and the other royal guards gave me as I entered this building and went into one of the rooms. After entering the room, I pushed aside the skeleton that was there and picked up the staff that was under it.
They looked at me with terrified looks when I did this.
They looked at me as if I had somehow cursed all of us by doing this.
Though that was the rational thing to think when one saw someone pushing aside a skeleton like this.
I didn’t have any fear as I took this staff away and started heading to the different buildings.
There were still many other things that I had to collect before heading into the temple.
It was just like with the other Spirit Kings, there were things that I had to prepare before going to meet with the Wind Spirit King Sylph.
