The voices had become weaker since they had become weaker after being trapped in these rooms for a while.
But when one listened closely, they could still hear the voices of the dwarves coming from these rooms.
The Dwarven King deeply knitted his brows before going over to one of the rooms and pulling out his axe. He didn’t hesitate at all to swing his axe down at the wall in front of him in an attempt to break into the room.
However, the only thing that happened was that the axe bounced off the wall that he struck at.
A bitter smile appeared on the Dwarven King’s face, but it wasn’t one that was filled with despair.
After all, he knew that there was someone here that would be able to handle this even if he couldn’t break the wall.
The only reason that the Dwarven King had done this in the first place was because he wanted to try being the one that saved his own people. But he also knew that it didn’t matter if he wasn’t able to save them.
Seeing the Dwarven King turn to look at me as if he was waiting for me to act, I couldn’t help revealing a smile and shaking my head.
Still, seeing that he had this faith in me...
I walked forward until I was standing in front of the wall and then acted like I was looking at it carefully.
After looking at it for a bit, I suddenly tapped the wall a few times and it soon collapsed.
While I was doing this, I said to the Dwarven King, "While I was stuck in the room, I observed the wall carefully and found that there was a pattern just like the front door. Once I found that pattern, I was able to tap it a few times to open the wall. It seems that the rest of the walls have the same pattern on them."
The Dwarven King gave a nod to show that he understood, but there was no hiding the shock that was in his eyes.
After all, something like this wasn’t something that just anyone could notice.
With this same technique, I opened up the rest of the rooms that the dwarves were trapped in.
When they came out, they all had the same reaction where they asked for food and water.
I hadn’t paid attention to the time, but it had been a full day since we had been trapped under the ground. Even though there was no sun here to tell us the time, I knew this because of the special magic tech watch that I got from the Democratic Union.
Even though they were greedy people, it was a fact that they had good magic technology.
That was one of the reasons why it was important that the Democratic Union didn’t completely collapse after this purge. It was necessary for us to have the magic technology if we wanted to fight against the forces of Destruction.
Once they were all freed, the dwarves took the time to look around this place, but there wasn’t much for them to see since this was nothing more than a hallway here.
This was a prison to keep the ones that fell in the trap, so it wasn’t as if there would be anything here.
The real things would be hidden deeper in this place.
But this time, it seemed like the dwarves had learned their lesson and were moving slowly to make sure that they didn’t fall into another trap.
The problem was that this meant that we were moving at a snail’s pace with how careful they were.
I was fine with them being careful, but I certainly didn’t want to be trapped down here any longer. I had already been down here for a day, so I wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible.
That was why I started giving them tips from time to time.
"There’s a trap plate there."
"There’s a hidden door here."
Even though it seemed a bit unnatural that I was able to see all of this, they didn’t think too much of it. After all, I had been able to notice the way to open the door and the way to open the rooms that we were trapped in.
At this point, the dwarves just believed that I was this skilled that I was seeing all of these things before them.
I didn’t say anything to correct them.
Though a part of this was to repay them for what I had put them through.
It was only right for me to make it up to them a bit since I was the one that had trapped them in those rooms in the first place.
After walking around for a bit, it seemed like the dwarves were finding things that interested them.
I had left a lot of the treasures that belonged to this place where they were since it wouldn’t be easy for me to take them. That was why most of them had been left here for the dwarves to discover.
I had already taken the Earth Spirit King Oread who was supposed to be the biggest treasure and formed a contract with him, so it was only right to leave these artifacts and materials to the dwarves.
But there was one thing that I did want.
For now, I was just making the dwarves feel a bit guilty about taking all of these things so they would want to give me the item that I wanted later. That was the other reason why I wasn’t taking any of the things that were here.
I could see from the way that they looked at me from time to time that they were feeling guilty about this.
I was a guest that they had somehow trapped down here with them and I wasn’t even getting any compensation.
I wanted them to think this as much as possible.
