"Not bad, not bad. With all of this, it should be easy for me to have the Earth Spirit King form a contract with me."
"You should really fix your expression."
"Right, it would really make you seem less like a villain if you didn’t have this expression."
"Be quiet." I said to the two Spirit Kings who had been critiquing me the entire time.
They didn’t hold back at all as they kept saying these things, but I just ignored them since there wasn’t anything actually constructive about their critique.
All that they were doing was just complaining about the things that I had been doing, the things that had caused them such a big shock.
Once I finished gathering all of the items from this place, I didn’t waste any time heading to where the Earth Spirit King was waiting.
When I arrived, there were a pair of doors that were waiting for me.
However, these doors soon opened with the same thing that I did for every other door that had been in my way. Just a few simple touches of the carvings on the door was more than enough to open it.
Once it opened, there was this room that was filled with tombs that was revealed.
It didn’t seem like there was anything that was in this room until one noticed that there was an altar that was all the way on the other side of the room. This altar was the thing that I came here looking for.
After all, that altar was where the Earth Spirit King was hiding.
But I didn’t immediately step forward when this door opened.
Instead, I stood where I had been standing and looked carefully into the room.
As I looked into the room, I looked around as if I was looking for something in particular.
It didn’t take me long to find the thing that I was looking for and there was no hesitation from me as I pulled something out that I threw in that direction.
This thing flew through the air in a perfect arc before hitting that one tomb.
The moment that this thing made contact with the tomb, there was a shaking that came from it before it suddenly lit up. At the same time, the thing that I threw at the tomb seemed to stick to it as if it became a part of it.
After this tomb lit up, that was when I finally took a step into the room.
But I only took one step.
After this single step, I turned to another tomb and took out something else that I threw at it.
Just like this, I kept throwing more and more items at these tombs until they all lit up.
It was only after a tomb lit up that I took another step forward.
This was all part of the quest to reach the Earth Spirit King.
There were traps that were placed on the tiles and each row of tiles activated one of the corresponding tombs. If one didn’t have the items needed to seal them, they would have to deal with the things that came out of the tombs.
It wasn’t always a fight, but it was annoying to have to deal with all of them.
But it also took a long time to gather all of the items that were needed to stop these things from appearing.
Which was why the design of the dungeon was made for the player to consider which one of the tombs were the best to deal with and which ones should be sealed.
Of course, that didn’t matter for me since I already memorized where all of the items needed were and the best way to get those items. As such, it was easy for me to collect everything so I didn’t have to deal with any of these tombs.
After a while, I finally reached the other side of this room where the altar was standing.
However, I didn’t look at the altar and instead looked at a small statue that was placed beside the altar.
I took out one of the two items that I had left and tossed it at the statue.
The moment that this ball made contact with the statue, there was a light that immediately spread all over the statue just like with the tombs.
This was the final boss that had to be sealed.
One would think that it was all over once they dealt with the final tomb, but there was a boss that was hidden beside the altar. If there wasn’t a special secret item that was retrieved ahead of time, this statue would have turned into a special boss that the player had to fight.
The item was behind a door that required the special technique to open, which was the secret quest related to the trap that I used.
Once the statue was covered in light, that was when I went forward towards the altar.
As soon as I came close, the altar seemed to stir as a voice said, "I never thought that someone would find all of the items that I hid around this temple. I’m sure that you’ve spent quite a bit of time and effort to collect all of these things."
"He’s still acting like this. I really feel sorry for him."
That was what Ifrit and Undine thought at the same time.
I could hear this, but I ignored them as I focused on the altar that was starting to glow.
While that was happening, I took out a staff.
This was the last item that I had prepared and it was an item that was similar to the crown that I had collected in Undine’s dungeon.
It was meant to convince the Earth Spirit King to form a contract with me.
It was just that before that happened, the voice of the Earth Spirit King changed.
"What is this familiar sensation? Why is it coming from you?"
