The divine energy infused attacks just floated there above the array for a while.

After all, I had no idea what to do to activate this array and force it to absorb these things.

At the same time, it wasn’t as if Pestilence would help us in doing something like this.

I could see the look on his face and hear him muttering, "How do they know about these parts of the array?"

That at least confirmed that this array was similar to the one that the cloaked orc had shown me. That meant that this array that the forces of Destruction used did indeed draw on the arrays used in shaman magic.

The problem was that I had no idea what to do with this array.

So in the end, it was useless to just keep the divine energy attacks floating there.

I should have brought the cloaked orc with me...

As I was thinking about ways to torture Pestilence to make him spill the information that I wanted, there was a voice that came from the distance. When I turned around, I found that there was a group of non corruption energy monsters that were coming over.

It seemed like the corruption energy monsters were surrounding them, but they also parted ways to let them pass.

It seemed that the order that Pestilence gave spread far wider than I had intended.

Because of this order, all of the fighting had stopped and the racial alliance troops were able to make their way here.

The one that I was most excited to see was naturally the cloaked orc.

Only it didn’t seem like his eyes were focused on anyone here. It seemed that the eyes of the cloaked orc were focused on the corruption energy array and there was a trace of excitement that was in his eyes.

I didn’t mind that since this was what I wanted to see.

After he made his way over, I said, "Do you have a way to activate it?"

"Let me take a look." The cloaked orc said before moving towards the corruption energy array. Only when he tried to approach it, it seemed like there was a reaction that came from it that released corruption energy.

If we moved a bit slower, then he might have been injured.

But in the end, I was able to create a wall of earth in front of him that stopped the corruption energy from reaching him.

"Even if this thing is inactive, it seems like there are defenses put in place to stop people from approaching." There really wasn’t a need to say this since it was clear to everyone that saw the cloaked orc being attacked that this was the case.

Still, saying it out loud made it feel like it was real.

"Look at it from above." That was the suggestion that I made in the end as I had one of the wyverns pick up the cloaked orc.

At this point, his excitement about this array completely overshadowed any fear that he might feel towards being lifted into the sky. So the cloaked orc didn’t say a single thing as he was lifted up by the wyvern.

From above, he was able to see the entire array.

While he was looking at the array like this, it seemed that he was moving his hand as if he was calculating something. The look of thought that was on his face was more than enough to show that there was something special about this array that had him in deep thought.

After a while, the cloaked orc signaled to the wyvern rider to go down.

Once he landed, he didn’t waste any time in saying to me, "Get ready, I’m going to activate it."

I had released the divine energy attacks when he started observing the array since I had no idea how long it would take him. But since he said that he was ready, I didn’t waste any time in creating the same attacks as before and putting them over the array like I had done.

Once they were in place, the cloaked orc raised his staff and a purple energy gathered at the end of it.

He was pointing it at the array, but he didn’t do anything as he looked at the array with a look of deep thought.

None of us said anything to disrupt him since it seemed like he was calculating something.

After another long moment of silence, that was when the cloaked orc suddenly released the purple energy that he gathered. This purple energy floated out before landing in different parts of the array.

The moment that they landed, Pestilence immediately seemed like he reacted to it.

Only he was immediately retrained by the restraints that I put on him, so he wasn’t actually able to do anything in the end.

After the purple energy entered the array, it seemed like there was a reaction that came from it as it started glowing. There was this strange purple glow that filled the array after the purple energy that the cloaked orc released was absorbed by it.

While this purple energy flowed through the array, the cloaked orc said, "What’s happening right now is that I’m activating certain parts of the array that will cause it to do what we want it to do. Since we’re not the owner of the array, we can only activate certain parts to make the entire array function."

I nodded to show that I understood, but really I had no idea.

While the cloaked orc was explaining, it seemed like the purple energy reached the part of the array that was under the divine energy attacks that I was making float there.

Once they reached it, there was this suction force that came from the array that pulled in my attacks which I could feel. I didn’t put up any resistance at all as I just let the array do this.

But the moment that the divine energy was absorbed...
