The place that the cloaked orc brought us was a small cave that was separate from the rest of the caves.
But this place seemed to be filled with strange things.
The one thing that caught my eye was this decoration that seemed to be made of bones.
It seemed that it wasn’t just the demi humans, the orcs also built things out of the bones of their ancestors.
This was most likely the place where the shaman of the orcs spent most of their time.
Which meant that this was the place that I wanted to see.
However, it wasn’t obvious what was used for their shaman magic, so I had no idea what I was looking at.
I thought that I would be able to figure out a few things, but really I had no idea at all since it was all unfamiliar.
The orcs in the game weren’t really a race that were explored.
After all, it wasn’t as if there were that many orc girls that were available. Even if there were orc girls, they were ones that separated from this place and were usually in mercenary groups.
So there really wasn’t much information about the orcs and their shamans, other than the fact that they were regarded as enemies.
After sitting down, the cloaked orc asked, "Well, what did you want to say?"
"It’s very simple. We’re the scouts that have been sent forward to see what is happening in your lands ahead of the rest of the people of the racial alliance. I’m sure that they can vouch for the power that we possess, which is why we were chosen to scout ahead."
The orcs that I was referring to nodded in agreement to this.
After all, they saw the way that Alidus crushed those corruption energy monsters, so there really was no way of denying this.
"You say that, but there’s no telling what you humans will do in our land."
"I never said that we were all humans."
With a nod to Alidus, he took out a set of potions that he showed to the cloaked orc.
When the cloaked orc saw this, a strange look appeared on his face before he came forward to take a closer look at these potions. Alidus didn’t mind and directly handed the potions over to the cloaked orc.
After a long moment of silence, the cloaked orc slowly asked Alidus, "You’re a giant?"
Alidus didn’t say anything as he just gave a simple nod of agreement.
"Yet you’re with a group of humans?" The cloaked orc still said in a voice filled with disbelief.
This time, Alidus didn’t remain silent as he said, "You’ve already seen the power that the forces of Destruction possess and they aren’t just limited to attacking the orcs. They want to destroy the entire continent, so it’s only natural that all of us have to work together."
It wasn’t just the cloaked orc that reacted to this, all of the orcs reacted when they heard this.
There were complicated expressions that appeared on their faces.
With the state that the land of the orcs was in, it was clear that they knew that Alidus was right.
It was just that orcs still didn’t accept outsiders that easily.
In the end, the cloaked orc said with a sigh, "Other than giants, do you have other races working with you as well?"
With a nod, I said, "We have the dwarves, the mermaids, the elves, the gnomes, and the demi humans. As well, we have fairies who are in the backline, but they don’t really serve as a fighting force."
A surprised look appeared on the cloaked orc’s face when he heard this.
It was clear that he didn’t expect to hear that all of these races had joined the racial alliance.
Though there was also a trace of doubt in his eyes as he turned to look at Alidus.
Alidus just gave a simple nod to show that this was indeed the case.
Another silence followed as the cloaked orc seemed to be thinking about something.
None of us said anything as we waited to see how he would react.
"Alright, since you have the trust of the other races, then we can talk."
There was still a trace of unwillingness in his voice, but it was clear that this one revelation did move him. Though it was more a choice that he made because he had no other choices.
The orcs were in a very precarious situation after all, there wasn’t much that they could actually do.
They had to admit that they needed help to deal with the forces of Destruction.
With a nod, I said, "As mentioned previously, we came to help with dealing with the forces of Destruction and to look for survivors from the orcs. Since the corruption energy takes over those that it attacks, we’re trying to save as many as we can so we can face as few enemies as possible."
The cloaked orc nodded to show that he understood.
It wasn’t just him, the rest of the orcs also showed that they understood this.
After all, they should have already experienced what happened to those mutated orcs, so they knew what the corruption energy would do.
"You called that black energy corruption energy, just what is it?" The cloaked orc asked all of a sudden.
I didn’t mind this as I started explaining what it was.
There wasn’t the time for this earlier since we were just meeting them, but I gave a quick and concise explanation of this.
"The God of Destruction is real?" The way that the cloaked orc said this, it seemed that this had a greater impact than expected. It was almost as if the cloaked orc had something to do with the God of Destruction.
Seeing the way that I looked at him with one raised brow, the cloaked orc said, "It’s just that when our comrades fell to the dark...corruption energy, they muttered something about the God of Destruction."
I couldn’t help knitting my brows when I heard this.
