The orc society was one where strength was respected.
Only those that had demonstrated their strength would receive respect from the orcs, such as how Alidus had led them in the fight just now.
As for me, I had been in the back providing the mist the entire time.
Since they never saw me fight, it was only natural that the orcs would look down on me and wouldn’t actually listen to me.
But this wouldn’t be good for me since I had questions for these orcs.
Since these orcs only respected those that were stronger than them, there was only one thing for me to do.
I raised one hand and waved at the orc.
When they saw me do this, they couldn’t help being caught off guard.
After all, what I was doing was provoking them to attack me.
They couldn’t believe that I would actually do something like this and they had to look at each other as if they were doubting what they were seeing.
But seeing that they weren’t doing anything, I said, "Are you going to come at me or not?"
Once the orcs heard this, they knew that they weren’t mistaken.
When they had been provoked like this, the only thing that they could do was accept the challenge.
That was why the one that had spoken for the rest of the orcs came forward.
Though when he did, he dropped his club down on the ground and seemed like he wanted to fight me with his bare hands. This seemed to be because I didn’t have a weapon that I was currently holding.
It seemed that even though they were a race that was rather barbaric, they had this strange sense of honour when it came to things like this.
Of course, it didn’t really matter if he was honourable or not.
He just simply wasn’t a match for me even though he was the strongest out of these orcs.
My body had become much stronger than before after that refinement and it became even stronger after I gained divine energy.
With my eyes, it was easy for me to follow the movements of this orc.
So in the end, I easily dodged under the fist of the orc and turned while under his arm. With one smooth movement, I grabbed his arm and lifted him up over my shoulder before throwing him over me.
As I threw him, I could see the look of shock that was on the orc’s face as if he couldn’t believe that I was lifting him up.
But he was still lifted over my shoulder and tossed to the ground like this.
This was one of the few moves that I remembered from the self defense class that I had taken in my past life. However, I had to admit that this was most definitely an effective move.
Once the orc had been thrown to the ground, it looked up at me with a gaze of shock.
It wasn’t just the orc, but the rest of the orcs also looked at me with the same shocked looks.
It was clear that they couldn’t believe that someone with a body as thin as mine would be able to use this kind of power to throw the orc.
I didn’t give them any chance to refute it as I pointed at the other orcs and said, "Is there anyone else that wants to test me?"
All of the orcs looked even more shocked when they heard this before slowly shaking their heads.
Even though their common sense told them that this person shouldn’t be that terrifying, what had happened had proved the opposite of this. So there was no denying that they were a bit afraid of this person...
In the end, the orc that had been thrown stood up again and said, "How did you do that?"
I didn’t say anything as I reached my hand out towards the orc once more.
This time, the orc was more cautious as he looked at my hand for a bit. But in the end, he reached out to grab my hand.
When he felt me squeezing his hand, he did his best to resist and squeeze back.
However, the orc wasn’t able to take the pressure that I squeezed his hand with as he fell to his knees. While on his knees like this, he looked at me with another look of shock.
At the very least, it seemed like he was convinced.
So I let go of his hand and said, "Does that answer your question?"
The orc slowly nodded before saying, "So you said that you came from the racial alliance? What is that?"
This time, there was a trace of respect in his voice.
Since I had beaten him like this, there really was no reason why he would still act the same as before.
With a nod, I said, "That’s right, but to explain what the racial alliance is, I have to explain a few more things."
Once I finished explaining the forces of Destruction and the corruption energy, I said, "That is why the racial alliance was formed, it was to deal with these things that were trying to hurt our loved ones."
The orc had a serious look on his face after I was done.
With a nod, he said, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend and it’s clear that we have the same enemy. Follow me in and let’s discuss this matter with the rest of the colony. We can’t decide what to do with just us alone, we need to report this matter to the elder."
I gave a simple nod in response since this was what I had wanted in the first place.
With the orcs, we easily passed through the barrier around the mountain.
Then while we were heading into the cave, I couldn’t help asking, "What was with that strange purple energy around your weapons earlier?"
"That? It was shaman magic."
