I had already expected something like this to happen.
What the representative from the Democratic Union said was true since there were more spirits that had started appearing in the Kite Kingdom.
With the power that these representatives possessed, it was impossible for them not to notice this.
But they had already decided to ask about this matter after this meeting.
Though now that the representative from the Democratic Union dragged this matter up, they were just going to go along with it to see what happened.
"Indeed, there have been more spirits that have appeared in the Kite Kingdom, but this is more of a personal matter related to me rather than a matter related to the Kite Kingdom."
Once I said this, everyone looked at me with confused looks on their faces.
Instead of explaining it, it was much easier for me to show them.
"Ifrit, Undine, can you come out?"
As soon as I thought this, there were two figures that appeared behind me.
One was covered in a red glow and the other was covered in a blue glow.
After the two figures appeared, everyone immediately raised their guards since they knew that something that would appear out of thin air like this wouldn’t be normal.
The one that seemed to react the most intensely was the Azure Sage.
The look on his face was as if he sensed something special coming from these two figures.
Once they finished forming, I said, "These two are the spirits that I have contracted, but they are a bit special compared to normal spirits."
"How did you manage to contract these spirits?" The Azure Sage asked right away.
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a wry smile when I saw him like this, but then I said, "I just used the normal spirit contracting method and these two were the ones that appeared."
Looking at him, I added, "I can see that you can sense that there’s something special about these two."
The Azure Sage said with a smile, "That’s an understatement. These two are more than just special, they are spirits that one rarely ever sees."
The Azure Sage continued looking at Ifrit and Undine for a bit longer before finally saying, "The two of you should be Top Grade Spirits, correct?"
But Ifrit and Undine just shook their heads when they heard this.
The Azure Sage had a very strange look on his face when he heard this before a look of understanding slowly crept onto his face. There was also a trace of shock that filled his eyes as this look of understanding appeared on his face.
"To have this kind of aura and to not be Top Grade Spirits, then there’s only one possibility..." The Azure Sage muttered to himself.
In the end, the Azure Sage looked at Ifrit and Undine with a look of absolute shock and disbelief before saying, "Are you Spirit Kings?"
This time, Ifrit and Undine nodded to confirm this before introducing themselves.
"This one is the Fire Spirit King, Ifrit."
"I am the Water Spirit Queen, Undine."
For those that weren’t as familiar with spirits, they didn’t really know what was going on.
But for those that had a certain understanding of spirits, they naturally knew what the words Spirit King meant. So the moment that they heard Ifrit and Undine introduce themselves as Spirit Kings, they couldn’t help revealing shocked looks.
They even had to look at the Azure Sage as if they were confirming this with him, but the Azure Sage ignored everyone that was looking at him. Instead, he was just completely focused on Ifrit and Undine.
After a while, the Azure Sage suddenly broke out in laughter before saying, "As expected of your majesty, to think that you were even able to contract the ruler of the fire and water spirits. There’s no one in this world that has accomplished a task like this before."
I just looked back at him with a smile on my face.
For those that didn’t know enough about spirits, they couldn’t help asking the Azure Sage, "What does that mean?"
The Azure Sage just continued to admire Ifrit and Undine for a while without saying anything in response to these questions.
But after a while, he turned to look at everyone to say, "To understand this, you have to understand how spirit contracts work."
The Azure Sage went on to describe how a normal person contracted a spirit.
This was different from the method that I used.
After all, a normal person would use an array that would both summon a spirit and form a contract with them. The one that I used was only used to form the contract, I had to go out of my way to find both Ifrit and Undine.
Though this was a secret that I would never tell them.
Once the Azure Sage was done explaining the process of contracting a spirit, he went on to say, "There are different grades of spirits that can be contracted. The lowest is a low grade and the highest is a top grade, but there’s a special grade. It’s not used in the grading system because it’s a unique grade that only a single spirit can reach."
His eyes lit up as he turned back to look at Ifrit and Undine before saying, "That is the Spirit King grade. Only the rulers of all spirits of the same element will be able to reach that grade. The Spirit Kings are able to command all spirits of the same element, but that’s because they are so strong that no spirit of the same element can defeat them."
After he finished explaining this, all of the representatives in the room looked at me with shocked looks on their faces.
It seemed that they were finally understanding why it was so special that I had formed a contract with Ifrit and Undine.
But there were also some of them that were realizing something else related to me forming this contract with Ifrit and Undine.
