Chapter 888: The Wedding Reception (III)
The Six Dragon God Kingdom (Rokuryuujin no Kuni).
Initially named the “Six Dragon Kingdom” (Rokuryuu no Kuni), the addition of “God” was prompted by the Voice of God heard during the wedding ceremony.
I see.
Even so, why “six”?
Where did that come from?
Curious, I asked Ursa, who seemed to know the story.
Apparently, Guinel and the four Impure Dragons that had rushed to assist were all involved in the Kingdom’s establishment.
Guinel and the four dragons... that’s five, isn’t it?
So why isn’t it the Five Dragon God Kingdom?
What about the sixth one?
Is it Metora?
No, including Metora would mean we also couldn’t overlook the four dragons’ partners.
That would make it the Ten Dragon God Kingdom instead but since you didn’t name it as such....
What is it?
Could the “sixth” refer to someone who supports the Kingdom in spirit?
That’s not it.....
As it turns out, the original proposal for the Kingdom’s name was the Ten Dragon God Kingdom.
However, the four dragons and their partners each had their own territories to oversee, making it difficult for them to stay in the Kingdom full-time.
So, the idea was to have a rotation system, where only six dragons would be present at a given time, the maximum feasible number.
I see.
But if that’s the reasoning, wouldn’t “Ten Dragon God Kingdom” still be fine?
It seems there’s a political aspect to it.
Naming it the Ten Dragon God Kingdom but only having six dragons available to greet visiting dignitaries might lead some to feel insulted.
Royalty or high-ranking nobles might take offense to such a discrepancy.
Considering the Kingdom’s purpose is to serve as a mediator between the Demon King’s Kingdom and human Kingdoms, they couldn’t afford to alienate others right from the start.
Thus, the Six Dragon God Kingdom was chosen, with careful consideration for appearances.
Hmm, you’ve put a lot of thought into this.
Honestly, this level of nuance wouldn’t have occurred to me.
Hmm?
If it were me, I’d just call out, and ten dragons would show up without a problem?
No way. I don’t know enough Impure Dragons for that. Summoning ten would be nearly impossible.
And even the few I do know—what have I ever done to earn their goodwill? They probably wouldn’t come even if I called.

With the announcement of the Six Dragon God Kingdom’s formation and Guinel becoming its king, the children were sent off to bed.
Roughly a quarter of the adults followed them to rest.
They’ve got work to do the next day after all.
The remaining adults? They stayed behind to continue the feast.
Just don’t go overboard.
As for Guinel and Metora... they can slip out of the venue whenever they feel like it.
