"Hmm, I told my pack to check you turf," said Erika, crossing her arms as she opened her eyes, she spent a few seconds with them closed.
"Y-Your pack?" Frank wondered.
"My pack of werewolves," Erika said, tilting her head. "What? You didn’t know I had one? We’re a big team. We go hunting at night sometimes."
"Hunting?!" Frank wondered. "Wait, you don’t…!"
"We hunt criminals, yakuza, rapists, anything," Erika shrugged. "Most of the time we also clean the streets from monsters if they show up."
"Oh…" Frank sighed in relief.
"What did you think we killed innocent people?! The Amaterasu Clan wouldn’t even let us live here if we did…" Erika laughed a bit. "Dad’s fine with that because he also just manages a huge farm, so we always got fresh wagyu meat every day to satiate our hunger."
"T-That’s nice," nodded Frank with relief. "And thanks for that Erika… I, uh, didn’t knew you cared for me…"
"What?! I already marked you with my scent, you’re literally mine," Erika said. "So of course I care about my pups."
"P-Pup?!" Frank blushed a bit as he heard her saying such weird things. "A-Are all werewolves like this?" He asked Matsuo.
"Yeah, they’re weirdos most of the time," said Matsuo.
"Don’t call me a weirdo, dork!" Erika said, about to smack Matsuo’s head.
However, Harumi dragged her back to her seat.
"Hey Erika, what do you mean you marked Frank? He’s not yours, you can’t just do that against his own will you know?" Harumi said, looking rather jealous.
"What? Are you jealous or something~?" Erika giggled with a cocky smile. "I didn’t knew you were THAT interested in the little human, Harumiiii~"
"I-It’s not what you think!" Harumi blushed. "A-And-"
"Hello students, good morning. Sorry for coming so late, I had a lot to do in the office, phew…"
The teacher arrived, a gorgeous, red-haired woman with sharp red eyes, wearing a black dress entered the classroom, the students gasped as they saw her.
"Oh, Iris-sensei, good morning!" Said the Class President, standing up, and readjusting her glasses. Her cascading black hair was made into a cute and long ponytail.
"Thank you Hirose-san, you may sit down for now. Alright students, let’s begin by checking your History Books, page thirty-five, and…"
Iris continued talking, although for a moment, she glared directly at Frank, who felt a strange pressure being pressured over his entire body.
"Ugh?!"
He felt like he could barely breathe, gasping for air, he began to sweat rapidly, he grabbed the wooden table and grasped it tightly, almost about to break his nails doing so.
"…"
And then she smiled, the pressure gone, as she looked at Frank with pity.
"Frank-kun, please pay attention to class, alright?"
"A-Ah, yes… Sorry, sensei…"
Acting as if nothing happened, she continued the class, Frank gave a look at his friends, they also felt a part of the pressure, looking exhausted.
Harumi opened a telepathy channel, as they started talking.
"D-Did you felt that?!" Erika screamed loudly into their heads, giving them a slight headache.
"W-We did! Don’t yell in the Telepathic Channel…" Harumi sighed.
"Oops… Sorry, my bad." Erika apologized.
"That was sensei’s aura?" Matsuo wondered. "I-It was strong, why did she direct it towards us? No, she targeted Frank in specific!"
"The same thing that happened with Noah-sensei…" Harumi muttered, growing nervous. "Her Aura was… much stranger though, it felt spectral, phantasmal. What is the meaning of this? Was it a warning? So she’s also from the underworld…"
"She was testing us, maybe?" Matsuo wondered. "Dammit… She was strong… I-I couldn’t do anything to even fight back."
"It’s better if we don’t…" Frank said. "She was testing us for some reason, but she doesn’t have any hostility… and the experience was much… more pleasant compared to the weird hallucinogenic trip we felt with Noah-sensei’s immense aura."
"Yeaaah…" Erika nodded. "Still, gonna warn daddy about this bitch too, just in case."
"I’ll warn my mother," Harumi nodded.
"Ugh, another thing to tell the clan…" Matsuo sighed. "What’s with all these monsters popping up out of nowhere nowadays? Something bad is going to happen, I can tell. We have to prepare for the worst."
"I agree…" Frank nodded. "Today you’re finally free, right? We should start hunting and getting stronger too, earning contribution as well."
"Yeah, I was thinking of taking a small mission for today," said Matsuo. "Something to get started, but that isn’t as big as that abandoned house. We could visit a Zone instead, so we can hunt monsters in general and have some fun while being relaxed."
"Is that alright?" Wondered Frank. "Wouldn’t it be of little help to the clan?"
"I mean, we just have to go to unexplored Zones," Matsuo said. "There are some risks to it though… But we’ve grown stronger since then. If we find another Koga Saburo, we can escape now. I’ve already learned several spells to forcefully cancel or open a hole through domains, so we can escape. It was among the first spells I prioritized learning."
"Oh that’s really neat! I hope that works then!" Frank said. "Harumi, are you coming along?"
"Hm, well, if you insist, it can’t be helped…" Harumi acted like she didn’t want to, but she accepted immediately.
"Nice, and Erika? Wanna come with us for a change? It would be nice to have a fourth party member- I mean, fifth! Can’t forget lil’ Ruby," Frank said.
"Sure~! As long as we go to the karaoke afterwards and you buy me a melon cream soda and fries!" Erika asked for payment for her services.
"Eeeh, sure, do you guys want to go to the karaoke?" Frank wondered.
"Why not? Would be nice to kick off after a mission," Matsuo nodded. "I’m in."
"Been a while since I went to one… okay," Harumi said.
"Alright, we got the whole day planned then!" Erika was a bit happy, wagging her tail around adorably. "It’s going to be so fun! I’m going to show off all my cool abilities Frank, so get ready! You’ll probably piss yourself after you see how brutal I can be~ Hehehe!"
"H-Hahah… that’s neat," Frank muttered, feeling like he might’ve committed a mistake by recruiting the gyaru werewolf girl.
