It has been almost two weeks since the incident in the manor, and Frank’s life has been slowly stabilizing. He hasn’t visited any dangerous zone, even less hunted monsters or something, and dedicated himself to fully unlock the potential within him through Training his Skills, Leveling them Up, and doing all kinds of Trainings, Exercises, and Cultivating his Mana and new Abilities to increase his Stats, preparing for whatever was coming in the perilous future.

At the same time, he began to learn quite a few new abilities and magic spells from Matsuo, while he taught him unique techniques he remembered from these "dreams" which even now, he wasn’t too sure if they were either. After almost two weeks of work, Matsuo’s "rest time" was also lifted completely, and he felt much better and stronger than before.

Regarding Harumi, she and Erika had been visiting the boys regularly in Matsuo’s place, and they had been training alongside them, and other times going shopping outside. Although the boys were mostly dragged into that rather than willingly going alongside them.

Nonetheless, although Matsuo was frustrated he was not allowed to do more missions for two whole weeks, he felt much more content with the growth he has attained, and Frank did as well, staying by his friend’s side instead of leaving him behind while he continued doing missions and gathering points.

Perhaps to some this would seem stupid. Why would Frank bother to stay with Matsuo for so long? It wasn’t like he couldn’t just do missions on the side; Matsuo himself wouldn’t really mind it and understand Frank as well.

Well, Frank was like that, he often put friendship and family before his own wellbeing, progression, or growth. If a friend would stay sad and alone for two weeks, he simply couldn’t let that happen, so he stayed with Matsuo and the two grew stronger through training and cultivation, something Frank had not quite tried out before as much, living a rather frantic life until then.

"The week sure went flying, it’s already Friday…" Frank thought, as he was dressing up for school after taking a quick shower. "I wonder what we could do for this weekend… I suppose maybe now that Matsuo’s ban is lifted, we could finally go somewhere and do some missions."

As he thought about that, he remembered many times that members of the Amaterasu Clan constantly talking about some mountains that had become a focal point for dangerous creatures recently.

"We could do a small job before going to those mountains, if they let us, that’s it… I wouldn’t really want a whole cursed manor to appear again, another of those Dark Spirits is not something I would want at all…" Frank thought, sighing. "Even now, I don’t know if I could fight him on my own without everyone’s help."

Although Frank’s level hasn’t increased a single bit, his stats have indeed increased, and several of his Skills had gained a few more levels.

He had sparred at least a hundred times with Matsuo and various other members of the Clan to train his abilities, and he learned valuable lessons through victories and defeats.

As he glanced at his Status, Frank felt rather proud of his hard work.

"My Stats increased a lot by exercising and overusing my Magic and Mana a lot… Some of my Skills are already max level, though I don’t know how to trigger something like a Skill Evolution yet?" Frank wondered. "Hmm… Whatever the case, the experiment of overusing my Mana until I passed out of exhaustion did work, my Mana constantly increased by a few digits each time I did that, until it got to this point… Not bad."

Frank had done a rather hellish training regime with Matsuo, both boys were determined to grow stronger, and even Harumi joined their exercises and sparring matches from time to time, as she also felt like her strength, which was vastly higher than Frank and Matsuo individually, was still lacking in certain areas.

"Well! Let’s just start another new day, Ruby! Just hide in the Pet Space for now, alright girl?"

"Raarr!"

Ruby quickly disappeared into a flash of white light, entering the "Pet Space" that she could access to hide from people and also rest and sleep without being interrumpted.

It was a huge area where she could play, sleep, and eat, and it was where she usually was when Frank was around normal people.

As he walked downstairs, however, he found a terrifying sight.

"Guuuggh… Mornin’… Ugh…"

"A zombie?!"

Somehow, his sister had become a zombie.
