And so, Sawa Yamauchi…
Like the peaceful seas, she started to talk on the battlefield. It was as if the clatter of the battlefield disappeared as she opened her mouth to talk.
“—I died. Kurumi-san.”
… That was right, Kurumi thought while clenching her fist.
“By the you that isn’t you—in other words, the real Kurumi-san had killed me.”
She remembered she was extremely parched. She wondered seeking for help with unsteady staggering steps.
Her vision was faint. Her entire body in pain, pain, it was nothing but pain.
—Ah, it’s Kurumi-san.
She reached out her hand / That girl looked at Sawa with a determined look.
Without realizing that she was scattering flames / That girl dodged gracefully even though she was surprised.
She was confused from the impact / That girl continued to shoot with her guns.
“And then you found out that it was me. Kurumi-san, how did you feel? You can answer this of course, right?”
“… I fell into despair.”
Even as a clone, she knew about that despair. Rather, for Kurumi Tokisaki that was definitely taboo. A little longer and she had nearly gone Inverse.
If she did not have <Dalet> to forcibly return herself, she could not have returned from going Inverse.
————wait.
“Yes, yes. You’re starting to get it. I am, yes, my body is from that moment. A clone born from the moment I had gone Inverse.”
“… That’s strange. It makes no sense.”
“You think so? <Het> used by the real Kurumi-san makes a copy of her past self. It may have been a one in a million or one in ten million chance.”
There was a possibility of being born.
If a copy was made from that instance.
And so, Kurumi wondered.
What did the real Kurumi think of the Inverse born from <Het>?
Undoubtedly, she would have killed the Inverse immediately. It was understood that she was a monster that spread destruction to those who did not follow her ways.
Kurumi Tokisaki would have undoubtedly killed the girl who was born from one in ten million chance. And then dropped into the shadows.
“Once before, during the Star Festival, the same had happened to me. But there was a “hole” in the shadow. That was how Cistus and I were brought to the Neighboring World.”
“A one in ten million coincidence had coincided with another one in ten million coincidence. The Inverse and I were brought into this at the same time in the same place. Maybe Kurumi-san brought us together.”
And so, the two girls fell into the Neighboring World.
Their reunion was dramatic.
“Me, who had become a soul, and her, who had become a body.”
White Queen—Sawa Yamauchi said with a carefree smile.
—I hate Kurumi-san (Her).
—She hates Kurumi Tokisaki (You).
“That’s why we signed a contract. The soul that was Sawa Yamauchi and the body that was Inverse Kurumi Tokisaki. And that’s why White Queen was born—Queen.”
So, they were united and connected as accomplices, their soul and body had combined. The newborn girl cried firstly. Wept, screamed and—resurrected everything with a grudge.
Sigh.
It was the truth that could have been reached inevitably with the clues. But, still. She did not want to come to that conclusion.
It was a cruel, fateful, dramatic and gloomy conclusion. She headed down the wrong path from the very beginning and she had gone mad accepting this.
“… Isn’t our resentment towards me and the Neighboring World different?”
“Wrong. Besides, it’s this world’s fault for existing. You thought I’d be grateful for existing? I only feel resentment and a sense of purpose for being alive.”
Sawa rejected Kurumi’s notion.
She affirmed to destroy the Neighboring World. She declared that the existence of this world was a hindrance.
“What are you going to do after its destruction?”
“I don’t care but my body is demanding for a king.”
Kurumi exhaled. The filled with murderous intent as the word “king” was heard. It was obvious what the word “king” was referring to in this situation.
“To meet the king after this world is overrun and after everything has been sacrificed. It’s only natural to make a new world after this is destroyed.”
“Are you two going to be Adam and Eve?”
Sawa smiled bewitchingly hearing Kurumi’s words.
“—can’t I?”
“They’re both out of the question. Even if it’s Sawa-san. No, because it’s Sawa-san. I can’t forgive that line.”
Sawa let out a sigh with killing intent. Murderous intents mixed. Kurumi and Sawa’s were both the same.
“Yes, it’s clear that we’re unable to understand each other. Now, let’s kill each other.”
Sawa clapped her hands.
Kurumi nodded.
She noticed her surroundings were blank. The White Queen clones who were just attempting a sneak attack had all disappeared.
A desolate blank space. There, the Nightmare and Queen confronted each other.
“—<Zafkiel>.”
“—<Lucifugus>.”
Two clocks emerged from behind their backs. The Queen (Sawa) laughed and the Nightmare (Kurumi) closed her eyes and immersed herself in her memories for a moment.
Now, discard all the precious, important memories built with Sawa Yamauchi. Neither were the true Kurumi Tokisaki or Sawa Yamauchi.
There was nothing wrong with the hatred/love—treasured in my heart.
Kurumi roared and Sawa laughed madly. Shooting and sword fighting had entangled.
—And the Neighboring World approached a critical point once more.
Metaphorically, it was like an everlasting dream she was having. The Quasi-Spirits, including Kurumi Tokisaki, were all just lost children in this world.
If that was so.
If she had woken up from the dream, this world would inevitably—
◇◇◇
A battle was occurring in the other world (reality).
“—<Qemetiel>.”
“—<Ain>.”
And so, the slumber was over.
◇◇◇
Thus, the dreamer awakened, and the Neighboring World had collapsed.
One girl’s journey and battle, her prayers and dreams… Everything had fallen apart.
