"Cur! How dare you disrespect Myriadpath Valley with your insolence?!" Tian Nu roared.

Tianming had chosen his words to ensure that Qitian Muchen knew that he was the same ’Mistrunner’ and not someone else. He would have to get payback not just for his past humiliation, but also for having his baleflame stolen. Qitian Muchen’s pent-up rage uncontrollably burst out from the provocation! "Catch him! I don’t care who he is or how many people he has backing him, I want him and everyone who knows him dead!"

Confounded, Tianming said, "Everyone who knows me? You’re my grandson, so you’re my family, too. Wouldn’t that include you as well? Qitian Muchen didn’t think that he would run into the Mistrunner again so soon; he would have called more seniors to join him if he had. Tianming had managed to escape from Tian Nu once already, so the three eighth-level foundationeers beside him definitely stood no chance.

"Protect the young master!" Tian Nu said before charging toward Tianming.

"You, keep chasing! I’ll go back to the Lumistar Formation!" Qitian Muchen was no fool and didn’t want to stay where the danger was. Instead, he had the other three bodyguards escort him back.

Tianming furrowed his brows; his chances were far worse now that Qitian Muchen had decided to retreat. However, he had no choice but to gamble anyway!

Tian Nu seemed very relieved to hear that his charge was heading for safety. That way he would no longer have to worry about anything and could fully focus on Tianming. "Halt, cur!"

Tianming immediately flew in the opposite direction of the Lumistar Formation to lure away the eminent he couldn’t take out so that he would have an opening later. However, he was incredibly pressed for time. If he took too long, Qitian Muchen would escape through the Lumistar Formation, and Tianming couldn’t mess with him outside the Yin-Yang World or he wouldn’t have anywhere to escape to.

He noticed that, at his new level of power, Fiveway Blitzrun worked quite well at running from a ninth-level foundationeer. "Let’s see if he can catch me. He still has the storms to worry about!"

It was the crux of the operation, since it could estimate their relative speeds and tell Tianming how much time he had left to make his move.

"Turn back... right now... and chase... Qitian Muchen!"

Without even needing Tianming’s input, Yin Chen and Meow Meow worked together to carry out the plan. The cat commandeered Tianming’s body and used Fiveway Blitzrun at its maximum speed to pull Tianming in the opposite direction toward Qitian Muchen!

Before he changed directions, Tianming even misled Tian Nu to let him think that he was heading deeper into the Yin-Yang World instead of turning back toward the Lumistar Formation. By the time Tian Nu noticed it, he would have lost Tianming.

Using that extra time, Tianming flew in the opposite direction with all he had! According to Yin Chen, he had a good chance of catching Qitian Muchen just before it was too late.

"Aren’t we cutting it rather close?" Tianming asked.

"Of course. But we... are lucky... there’s nobody... else around... the formation."

"Alright. Keep an eye out and tell me if someone shows up. I can retreat at any time." With his second totemic calamity and Ji Ji’s Vaporize, Tianming would be able to keep himself safe.

Tian Nu only gave up on chasing Tianming when he covered half the distance he needed to reach Qitian Muchen. He guessed that his young lord would soon leave the Lumistar Formation. Instead of rushing back, he was struggling to find an excuse as to why he couldn’t capture the Mistrunner as his lord had ordered.

Even though Qitian Muchen couldn’t have an eminent like him killed over that kind of failure, it would still put him on the wrong side of the young lord and didn’t bode well for the future when the young lord grew stronger. The son of the valley lord could become the next supreme ruler of the astralscape of order, after all.

Not to mention, transmission stones couldn’t be used in the Yin-Yang World, which also gave Tianming the edge.

"The Lumistar Formation’s right ahead!" Tianming looked up and saw the golden radiance above him. It was the part of the Yin-Yang World with the lowest density of storms. "They haven’t left yet, right?"

"They could... have left... but they... are waiting... at the... entrance for... Tian Nu," Yin Chen said.

Tianming couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Qitian Muchen was so impatient to hear the good news that he couldn’t bear to even bring himself to pass through the Lumistar Formation. Once Tianming made sure that nobody else was on either side of the formation, he charged toward it at full speed.

Recalling all the humiliation he had suffered, Qitian Muchen seethed with rage, his ears completely flushed. Nobody in all his life had dared to treat him like that! Even his elder brothers and sisters were polite to him! The only one he had to bow down to was his father, yet he’d been toyed with two times now! His cosmoforce turned into flames of rage every time he recalled kowtowing.

"If I capture you, I’ll make you and everyone behind you suffer the worst possible fate!"
